Looking at injury list on nrl.com, they have DWZ down with a head knock, but I can't see CNK on there so maybe he'll be ready? I have my doubts as to whether Montoya will be ready.

CNK in if he’s ok. Would prefer RTS in the centres as otherwise we’ll have two rookies there. SJ and Mai’u both possibilities too

Apparently both Montoya and dwz might be out.

dunno about CNK
Another week, another backline reshuffle it seems.
Assuming CNK is in and they’re both out:

1: RTS
2: MGT
3: Leiataua
4: Pompey (if fit)
5: Kosi
6: CHT
7: TMM/SJ (but not both as a combo)
8: AFB
9: Egan
10: Barnett
11: Niukore
12: Capewell
13: Walker

14: Lussick
15: Afoa
16: Tevaga
17: Halasima

if Pompey is out Walker to the centres, Jazz to 13 and Ale or Mai’u to the bench. Would rotate Halasima into the centres from the bench but would hesitate starting a rookie centre combo

Though, if he got the head knock early & it was missed, that might explain the poor performance...
oh that explains it ! All those defensive frailties we have seen this, and previous years, are due to early head knocks that go undetected..... j/ks :)

So expect some defensive leaks in the first twenty.

Hopefully from there we can do what we did against the Raiders and find sync and start locking it down.

When you have a rejigged line up you face challenges of getting them to work as a group.

We see this phenomena time and time again with the Kiwis in tournament play, except the Warriors do not have the luxury of being thrashed game one to build into it.

This year that has definitely been a factor. Roosters and Raiders games the obvious ones. Defensive communication takes time to get sorted
