Who would you have if we have no DWZ and Berry?

I was thinking placing RTS on the wing and bringing back the young lad MGT back into the foray.
Webby tends to go for experienced players hence I selected Kosi.
I actually feel for Kosi for the amount of shit he gets on here.

If DWZ is out then MTG would be in for mine.

Kosi needs to f**k off and work at Bunnings or some shit.

Moala Graham Taufa being a genuine Wing Center gives us options around a line up that does not rely on needing Kosi back.

Kosi played very well in the NSW cup this weekend, so there is that, at least he is finding form again.

Moala had an outstanding game in cup footy, so yeah after an epic NRL debut he is is pressing hard for his career and is on fire right now.

I would go as far as to say Moala has surpassed Ali as the best center upcoming at the Warriors. MGT is a genuine exciting talent defensively and in attack.

He has no problems with laying on try assists with his passing game or powering his way through the defence, but none of that excites me like his defensive game, he works really hard to block the edge channels which is rugby league gold really. He is like an avatar someone invented in a gaming program for the Warriors deficiencies.

Dunno if you guys got to see the NSW cup game this week? but losing players to Origin is not a big deal based off what our Junior NSW cup stars did to the Magpies when considered on top of NSW cup Warriors sides beating top four clubs.

Basically from the cup game we are stacked with explosive junior forwards that have a pace and leg drive. And we are stacked with busy and smart backs with the right mix of defence and attack.

Webster and Cappy have come along at our best ever development era.

Mates even if we struggle this season I do not care, the tomorrow talent at this club is insane.

I cannot remember a time in our history where there were too many players to individually name in support of a post like this, but here are way too many players for me to single out people.

I dunno about that.

While we have not had our best start to set us up and are realistically looking at a battle for the eight rather than top four, it is unrealistic to hedge your bets on us winning against the top club in the comp to save out season.

Put it this way, when doing the Ladder predictor I would not count on a win over team one the Melbourne Storm to get you where you want to be.

There is no reason the Warriors cannot pick themselves up from a loss against the best and go on and belt everyone in between.

Might be too soon for some to hear talk like that from me. But heck, consider our C team beat top four teams and the Panthers etc. With those types of results the Warriors should just move on from the frustrating Storm loss, ignore what one game means in a season, and try to rediscover the attitude that beat Penrith and the Dolphins.

This time last year the main criticism of the Warriors was that they were not beating top four sides.

This year they are. This year has only been a failure thanks to internal problems likely driven by player issues like the AFB affair. Webster is way too smart to let that bury our top eight chances, after all he is the guy who dug us out of the slump with crazy moves like CNK in the halves.

When `you Look back on the Storm game, Ï see an in form Warriors belting them from the kick off, followed by a cluster fug of individual performances and gaps in the defence likely related to the return of players which upset our recent cohesion.

I think it is fair to say that there is a serious communication issue with Shaun Johnson (little wonder since he has not been training with the spine all year and he is a lone wolf that basically plays on auto pilot on the fifth tackle where he usually expects the ball and bombs it) so yeah there is a timing issue, and a cohesion issue.

Let me be clear, I am not writing off Johnson one little bit, just saying that this weeks game saw TMM take the seven role, and SJ struggle to keep up with the bullet passing that TMM and Walker used to beat the Panthers.

I just think we have a serious team in all honesty that is having major issues with knitting the game together for eighty minutes. I think that when they do find cohesion both sides of the ball that they will be one of the best sides in the comp.

In the mean time, while we are frustratingly giving up great starts etc, us fans need to bite down hard and suck it up till the Webmeister works it out.

I truly believe that if Webster can make SJ and TMM click, with RTS, that the Warriors will be the type of side that is the first to win a GF from last place in the finals.
Pompey Strip for try 1
Brilliant kick that had Berry with no fuggen idea where ball went , very hard to defend.
Pompey spacing with TMM try 3 bringing Monyota in.
Pompey spacing with TMM try 4 as Barnett turned in.
Berry injury and Walker in Centres with Montoya off for try 5
Walker now wing and centre for try 6 with DWZ off.
Barnett chasing out of the line, followed by Capewell, both missing Hughes passing for Montoya to miss and a dogs breakfast of a defensive line for try 7.

Not sure how many returning players stuffed those 7 moments up.

I think Ale may be better suited to coming off the bench than Afoa, in theory.

Can't complain mostly, but I'd be happier with Walker 13/Tohu 12 + if we found a way to get Tuaupiki in.

Surely one of TT/CNK/RTS out of position is still a better option than Kosi.
Roger has a huge job, I expect the Tits to be charging down that side all day.

Normally I'm pretty optimistic, but I'm calling season done if we don't win this one.

Kosi had a good game in NSW cup.

Hopefully he is coming into one of his little form patches, albeit modest and brief that they are.

That forward pack looks well depleted this week.

Having said that, the fill ins are the players with some form so not alls bad.

Would have loved to have seen Dimtric and MGT get a look in, but I can wait, they are still developing.

Big Kenny Maumalo back in the Titans team via reserves.
He's been asking for a release to go to the ESL.
Probably wont get selected but good to see the name.

They are quite close of late in terms of what they offer imo.

They might as well go with Ale then. Find out how high that ceiling goes, at least give him a shot since Dimitric is probably going to be hot on his heels.

Agree. Lose this. Season over. Just won't climb back into the 8 with all the traffic.

Yea agree, so I expected Bunty to start, Ale onto the bench, and Ford dropping back into the second row.

We've lost two forwards to Origin and instead of bringing in a 140 game specialist prop, Webby's stayed with a transplanted backrower in the frontrow, moved a very good bench utility into the backrow, and brought a rookie backrower in.

I know Bunty hasnt been great overall this season but he was good in his last start v Dolphins, certainly better than Laban IMO. Unless Bunty had a poor Cup game last week and Laban had a monster, that feels a bit odd.

Anyway... hopefully its a dry afternoon on Sat and the boys click.

Freddy Lussick is the only odd man out from the quality shown in the NSW cup last week.
He had one of his rocks no diamonds games, all the others on that extended bench were stand outs.

Motu Pasikala emerged as a star winger, which will be a relief to the sack Kosi supporters. Looks like we have a fast side stepping 18 year old star their, promoted up fast through the juniors to cup.

That cup side is stacked.

Little wonder they come into the NRL and just slot in.

Thanks... I dont get to catch Cup games very often.

How has Zyon been going? I see he's missing from the Cup team this week, is he injured? Started the season with big raps but even allowing for his suspension, he's had bugger all opportunity.

Yeah he has looked good in the games he has had in cup for sure. Not sure of his status as it stands.

There is so much competition with those guys, Rodney Vea, Tanner Stowers.

Toby Crossby is an exciting forward too hey, still learning league, but stacked with power and pace. I saw an interview the Warriorholic did with him on youtube, well worth a watch, talking about going from Wellington Union Juniors to a last minute decision to show up at our trials. Former school boy Wrestling Champ, Powerlifter, and he chose to do athletics for the sprinting side, obviously the perfect development sports for Rugby League....given he chose those sports for footy he will probably become something special.

Takes smarts and discipline to come up with a formula like that as a kid.

Warriors injury update says Zyon has an ankle injury, out until round 21.

I need to start watching NSW Cup, sounds like it's really promising from a fan's perspective
