Team vs Dragons

Good week to get DWZ back, would have been Harper (?) otherwise or a rookie

Honestly feel like centre might be the best place for Capewell right now with the balance of our side

Was going to say I'm surprised they threw DWZ right in there, thought they'd give him a week in the reserves to get fitness. Then again, we're a bit thin on options.

How is Harper going? is Doyle looking alright?

I quite like that make up of the team

Pele, before the glorious triumph at Mexico '70, said, 'don't worry about our defence, we'll always score more goals than the opposition'.

I never wanted DWZ to see that quote. We know he's not on the same level as Pele but, with the hair and the hype, does he?

This season reminds me of 2018 so far, we started really well and exceeded expectations and had a good season but lost a handful of games we should have won and finished 8th and out of the top 4 by 1 or 2 games.

can Webby keep the intensity and keep us in the top 4

A blatant, uncalled forward pass by Cronulla meant the difference between us finishing 4th and 8th in 2018.

The Dragons are a classic, banana skin club for the Warriors...mind you, you could say that about 15 of the clubs. Buuuut, play well we go past them, or at least we should. Not sure once again if this is going to be the starting team. Good to see DWZ back for our attack but very nervous about his defence which is shite. Why, why why do they keep shooting in and giving the opposition the overlap? Its not a percentages play. good to see Roger on bench meaning he must be close. I was thinking that Ali was just a niggle. Any word on how serious? Our centres and wingers have been the only real area of constant juggle.

Bloody hell, didn’t realise how many positional changes would be forced on us from those injuries.

If they play as listed then Taine has been shifted to the left, Pompey to the right, and Leka over to left edge… other than the halves, both sides of the field have been rebuilt. Hopefully those boys are comfortable swapping sides.

If JFH back next week, guess we keep Capewell in centres. Defensively you shouldn't lose too much. He has been a bit of a revelation this year. Prefer Ali/Pompey/Berry. Not sure they would look at Roger back in Centres.

Iremeia-Toeava worth a look?

Also, will be interesting to see what becomes of Tauipiki once RTS comes back. CNK to centre, Tauipiki to fullback?

There's zero chance Webster is moving CNK.

Once RTS is back, to me, it's 1. CNK 2. DWZ 3. Capewell 4. Pompey 5. RTS

That opens up Leka to start, and Healey to get that bench spot (or Laban if they prefer)

Dragons definitely a banana skin over the years. Remember last year? We started white hot, I think we got 6-0 or 10-0 up but it should have been 24, then they absolutely came over the top of us and blitzed us.

With Capewell already in the backline, what happens if a centre or winger goes down? How is that covered on Saturday? Halasima or Laban playing in centres? Have they done that at senior level? Or does Egan go to the halves and CHT into centres. Or Clark to 5/8 and CHT pushed out? Not sure of the options here. Just hope it doesn't happen.

Halasima got pushed to centre in his debut game, remember he almost scored a game winner from out there.

Dunno if that’s the plan for this week but I think he covered centre on occasion in Cup too.

I think most likely RTS to centre, Webby seems pretty welded to the idea of CNK as our #1 fullback. Regardless it’s going to be a good thing that we have all three of them with our centre resources as stretched as they are. I don’t particularly want to see Capewell having to play full games in the backline.

Also saw an interesting point about Capewell’s high missed tackle count being partly down to his defensive role of coming up really fast and cutting off attacking players and herding them back towards our middle defenders.
