They better not drop Halatau, one shocker shouldnt see him dropped after he has been close to our best all year. Throw Wilson.

Well im glad Wilson is out of the halves.Nothing personal but 5/8 just isnt his spot.Good to see Collis there although Dene is a little unlucky to have been dropped for 1 bad game. But he will be back.

man, that pisses me off. There is no way elford is outperforming Halatau. On top of that, it is the same forward pack that has been dominated in recent times. one prop on the bench isn't good enough. I hope buettner performs, but I don't think it is likely, he hasn't had a good game for about three years.

I hope Beuttner is used as a running 5/8 and not a organising one.
If he is running off Prince, I guess it "MIGHT" work.

Hope Prince gets through the SOO game. He needs to step up big time this week for us or it will be a very long day. [-o<

Well, contrary to everyone else, i rate this team as a good one that has a nice mix of youthfull creativity and vetran experiece.

Other than Halataus dropping I think its a good side. Maybe Gibbs is unlucky, but I just dont know who you can take out for him.

Im guessing Halatau is out of the side and only going to come in if Laffranchi pulls out.

Halatua should start in the second row in fron of the 3 backrowers named!!! - he runs harder and straighter then them all

Surely Wilson will be dropped....

Please Laffranchi be back....

It worries me, he doesn't seem to play very well the game after origin. Lets just hope he gets QLDs loss out of his system really quickly ;-)

Halatau's lack of tackling cost us the game on the weekend. While Hayne deserves crucifiction he did not miss the 2 or 3 tackles that lead to trys which Dene did.

Its a kick in the backside for Dene.He will be back and at this stage of his career its all about learning.

i think halatau is on the bench so he can play in the second row, and add some impact off the bench. he has been caught out of position a little in defence at centre, so im ok with this.
elford, when he does catch the ball and decide to run can be good at making a break or two. i suspect buckets may be in doubt as well so i wouldnt be surprised to see one of the blokes off the bench play for him and for the linup to otherwise stay the same.
i guess this is beuttner's last chance at first grade. he was underdone when he played against the dragons but he's had a few more games since then (regardless of how he went) so with our problems at 5/8 i guess, as we all knew anyway that he would be next in line. id rather him there than wilson anyway as at least it is possible for him to put in some sort of kick or grubber if it is absolutely necessary.
would have liked to see farah get a go off the bench rather than mears too! i think gibbs could use some more time in premiers as well. he hasn't been making many metres recently and some more time in the less intense premiers may be good for his game. though might have been good to see him go at cleal again!

westie how is dene meant to stop a 3 man overlap ?
its the inside men who put him under pressure
sure he missed the tackle but they didn't help him out any

Seeing as he is a center an overlap has absolutely no effect on him. He has to pull down the man running at him. Especially when the majority of trys he let in resulted when there wasn't an overlap at all. Halatau is in the Withers/Wilson mould. They can put on a great front on hit but if a player runs slightly to the side of them they have no hope.

You must admite in one sense its a better move to have Buettner at 5/8 instead of Wilson as we simply have no other 5/8 options except for the untried Fulton. In saying that every good player got given an oppotunity at some stage to make a position theres...

Halatua defends like a forward.

He puts big hits on, but can be stood up on the outside. He should play second row, and thats why hes on the bench. I think Wilson will go, but I hope Collis goes and Wilson plays centre.
