The Pirtek Parramatta Eels welcome back injured stars Luke Burt and Ben Smith this week for their game against the Canberra Raiders on Monday, April 12, at Parramatta Stadium.

Returning from knee and ankle injuries respectively, Burt and Smith add more experience to the Eels’ line-up as they look to improve on the slow start to the season.

Krisnan Inu and Justin Horo have been named on an extended bench.

Burt has not played since his 200th first-grade match against the Sea Eagles in Round 2 and coach Daniel Anderson believes the inclusion of two more experienced players in the side will be a factor in turning around last week’s loss to the Sharks.

“Luke Burt and Ben Smith will be worthy inclusions to the team as a couple of seasoned players added to the side,” he said.

“We’re going through a bit of a rough trot so having those guys back in the team will add some stability to the side.”

Daniel Anderson "We need to tweak the team a little"

Waiver: These may or may not be the exact word of Daniel Anderson and are purely the opinion of the poster.

How the hell is there no f*cking changes???
And to top it off our best performer from last week (Horo) may not play

Where is the motivation to perform when you can be the best player in a losing side and still be on the outer. DA needs to take the fingers out of his arse!

No wonder this team is sucking it up. Why play hard and keep your place in the side, when you can like sh*t and keep your place in the side. FFS!

DA will give it another week. He has given the players 3 days off as a hope of clearing their minds and bringing some much needed enthusiasm back to training on Wednesday. If we lose to Canberra on Monday night, you can bet we will see changes to the formation of the team.

Given the game is not till Monday night, and sides are only named Tuesday for Big League, I'm happy to wait and see.

Suffice to say, I would think Justin Horo is very, very hard done by if he doesn't play.

Haha i said in a previous thread that the tweaking will be Burt and Smith...
There will be a few late changes i think you will find and the guys wearing those numbers wont play exactly where there named.Surely Horo has shown enough in his 2 games that he is worthy!

If that team keeps playing the way it does, I hope Anderson gives me three days off to freshen up after watching them next Monday.

Surely some of these guus have to have limited opportunities left to prove their worth

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!

At least Parra Pete can salivate over the retention of the 7, and WTF re Horo, that is no reward for the past 2 weeks.

Hope my fears are proved wrong, but FMD.

I will be there but with even less confidence than last week, I don't friggin believe it.

Is Robson related to Ando !! Must be for there is no other reason to keep him there !!

Maybe because Mortimer and Keating are going just as well as him - and I don't think he is going as badly as people on here are painting him.
Robbo = Easy target...Poor man's Brett Finch...
