Why for the life of me is Humble playing fullback when he wont get a shot at that position? His other position is half back play him there for Wenty FFS...



Also we need a utility on the bench not a hooker...

Because Ando isn't in charge of selecting the side for Wenty. Of course he can advise Brett Kenny, but he doesn't have the final say and if Brett Kenny thinks it's best Humble plays fullback for the good of the Wenty team so be it.

Nit sure people are expecting from Ando??? Mitchell is the only new player that should be considered and by the sounds of it is still a way off. Horo was good again last night and should be retained.

Dunno, if i was Ando I'd be instructing kenny to play the players where i wanted them especially if they have a chance in first grade..

He can instruct but cannot force. If Kenny doesn't agree that's his decision. This is a partnership between the Wenty Magpies not a complete monopoly. It's probably not worth debating about cause Ando probably wouldn't care what position Humble is playing and prefers to just worry about the first grade side.

TBH that would have to mean he has almost jumped above the likes of Howard and Lasalo as backrower to move up to firstgrade. I would still like to see him promoted to the bench and Mateo --> wenty with Poore elevated to the starting side

i agree. MK offers nothing extra. Mateo can cover for halves if rqd. Extra forward may be handy especially up against the big boppers souths have. Souths are the inform team and we are the out of form team. Could be very interesting.

But then you've got your hooker playing 80 minutes, that's fine if you have a world class hooker. But the defensive work involved is too much otherwise. Plus you're screwed if you get an injury. Having a utility on the bench just makes sense.

kk to play hooker and mateo into the halves. mk offers nothing extra to the team. pity he didn't possess a little impact.

Humble is part of the first grade squad though...

It doesn't matter. As long as he is playing for Wenty that given week, Brett Kenny should have the right to pick him to play wherever he thinks best. His job is to coach the Wenty side, and select players and combinations accordingly because they are results driven too.

I think Robson can play the full 80 minutes. In part I'm keen that we stick with a halfback and avoid any temptation to tinker with the halfback's role. But we could survive reshuffling the 5/8's as Dazeely suggests with Mateo going there and KK to dummy half if Robson gets injured.

Mk just isn't doing enough atm. But some of his dummy half runs were great.

robson as an older bloke has more zip to his step than MK tbh showed that last year with his little quick runs

Maybe Humble just isn't as good as the Wenty half back... or as assured of a run in first grade as some people thought he was?
