Spoke to Ryan Morgan last night and he thinks he'll be back next week...

I think the 'greatest coach on Earth' will go with:
Hayne
Burt
Morgan
Smith
Etu
Mcguire
Robson
Mannah
Keating
Fui
Hindy
Lasalo
Horo
Maitua
Shack
Allgood
Webb

Except that nobody will be making their debut, so he might throw someone new in...

Bennet coaches the Dragons though.

I'd swap Reni for Lassalo. With Lassalo back to Wenty to get his mojo back. I do rate him it's just that he's done nothing in the last few weeks. Part of the reason is because the halves are just visionless and can't utilize his whole running capabilities.

I'd keep playing Ohanlon off the bench but then send him back down to the 20s in time for the finals.

i don't think he charged up on gillet, he just got stood up by a 2nd rower  ... mind you a good 2nd rower - when i watch gillet, i always think young hindy .... and horo wasn't much help stumbling around next to casey .... piss poor effort from both of them - almost as piss poor as walker standing on the goal line and wonder why his opponent can just shrug him and put hte ball down to score

anyway .... I want to see Humble get a chance and I want Reni playing a back rower role

1. Hayne
2. Burt
3. Morgan
4. me (cos I'd do better than chris walker)
5. Atkins
6. Humble
7. Morts
8. Mannah
9. McGuire
10. Moimoi
11. Hindy
12. Smith
13. Maitua

14. Keating
15. Allgood
16. Lasalo
17. Shackleton

I think he did charge up out of the line. He was metres ahead of everyone else and definitely cost us that try.
I agree with you as I too want to see Humble get a chance. I would put McGuire back to the bench if Robbo is fine or have McGuire at Halfback if he's not (as should have been the case this week).
If Humble doesn't get any game time some time soon I think we will be saying good bye to him - If we haven't already.
As for you playing - I would rather Etu. I like the way he has been playing and I think he deserves to stay in FG.

If Robson is gone then this is our best team I feel. Ben Smith cannot play centre again, our right hand attack looked so slow with him there. I think Etu has done enough in a terrible bunch to remain ahead of Walker. Maitua is fast enough to play in the centres and maybe when Horo comes on he could move in one on attack to play at the fringe of the ruck and cause damage there.

I even toyed with the thought of putting Marmin Barba in there to use as an impact player and give him a roving role but I still think he needs more time in U20s.

Humble or Mortimer need to be brought in to press their claims for next year, not both of them.

of course Horo charge up out of the line, and then got stepped accordingly and easily, this happens all the freaking time, Jesus, Horo made Josh McCrone look like Brad Fittler and Gillett look like Steve Menzies!!!!

Horo has regressed badly

i'd love Hayne to finally play 5/8 because we need someone to go with Sandow next year and beyind in the halves, just don't think he will come at it, so I have another suggestion for where Hayne could play.....and think its time to let two younger guys fight it out for the 5/8 spot next year, or at least stake a claim with *sigh* Roberts....Maitua will probably be forced to play in the centres because of the injuries, but he should play in the backrow ultimately

its time to get radical, let's plan for 2012 and beyond.....

I agree. (And I posted this in another thread): I think Hayne could be the best centre in the world. (But I still like him at fullback for the moment. He`s better than Burt.)

The season is over, so give some young players a shot to get first grade experience and see how they handle it.

Try something different, it may work or it may not work, who cares the season is over and if the young guys who are given a chance don't step up and show they have what it takes then at least they got their shot. I mean if Morgan can get a shot im sure anyone can.

Couldn't agree more !!! That is the side we need.

On another note, did anyone alse think POH appeared to be a deer in the headlights on Friday night?

I know it was his debut, and a huge moment for the kid, but his demeanour gave the impression that he didn't know what he was doing out there. He was just sort of ambling around.

Yeah, i thought the same thing. Also he looks very very slow, noticed this when he was trying to chase down gillett.

He could probably be the best lock in the world if he spent some time at that position too!

But he's played FB for quite a number of years, and he can significantly impact a game from that position.

I agree with what I think you're saying --> let's fix the other weak spots by getting players in those roles rather than weakening a vital spot!
