I'm not at all surprised he was called up. He's a Raper recruit isn't he? Despite me saying Scott was next cab off the rank it's clear that Scott can't do the Utility job Mellars can potentially do.

Mellars is a good player. I won't forget him getting hit with a cheap shot then the next set of 6 demanding the ball and ran straight at the bloke who did it to him and knocked the guy out.

I'd be worried if he and Covell were put together but. The Knights scored like 20 points in 15 minutes against them on the CC. Maybe with Dykes yelling at him he might be sweet.

Also I would think unless he is hurt Mellor would move into the pack like he did early in the season. But I think Mellars would be the better 2nd rower of the two.
