if other rumoured changes are undertaken it could be a bit unsettling for Mr McGoldrick to have to shift sides again but it puts him on Gidley which is better for us defensively.

Mr Vagana to the left gives him a chance for more involvement as our play goes left most of the time.

Mr Kent has kicked well in general play when he's been at 6 in PL

I know you are disappointed NCL, but from what I have seen of Kent this year, he is actuall everything that you said Aitken was.
he is fast on his feet, great running balance, passes both ways.
He obviously has skill & is an athlete so I cannot see why he wont kick.
His problems will be,
1. I nthe firs 20 minutes prior to Sully he will facing huge pressure. His first 5th play option in his first game at 7.
2. Sully not doing more kicking from dummy half, to give him more time when he does kick.
3. The 5/8th not taking some of the kicking and passing duties away from him
4.Peachs level of fitness. & this is the real key. If Peach is fit & confident, this combination could turn out to very exciting.

Well good question isn't it Angry.
One would have to think yes, with Dykes looking less likely to return now.
He is big enough for it but more importantly, he defends well enough for it.
This guy is capable of Amos style stepping through the line. Very light on his feet.

Im not dissapointed in Aitkens non selection BTR. I think Kent is a good player and know he is highly thought of at the club but from what i have seen from Kent in PL i just cant imagine him playing halfback and taking control of the team like other players in the club might (eg Dalla, even Sully :? ).
Im am of the thinking now though that he could not go any worse at halfback than what has occured during the last two weeks. Raper has pulled alot of good selection moves this year. I am gonna reserve my judgement till after the Knights game. Im happy with anything as long as the boys get a win up cause we need it to make the 8.

I thought Aitken went ok in his two games, bit risky isnt it putting Kent in at half, is he familiar with this position? He did have a good game last week but I dont think it was at half. This decisions is interesting....

Well Gallen worked out OK @ centre and 5/8, when we were desperate, so I will give the Kent experiment a go.

I'm a touch disappointed Russ only got 1 chance.
Still from a team perspective a place in the side for Kent is warranted.
I'm not so sure about him playing halfback.
Rapes has rolled the dice.
Lets hope he's right.

This would be disasterous for us. McGoldy gives him a start, shows em the sideline. Gidley will skip outside him and suck in the winger. I seriously home Gidley lines up on Vagana.

I'm a little disappointed Aitken was dropped, but he probably didn't show the confidence needed to play halfback at first grade level. I also think the team needed to show more confidence in him by letting him run the show. I've only seen him named at halfback 4 times in the whole time he's been playing junior reps / grade. His 5th play option and positioning probably need some work. I still think he'll make a mighty fine 5/8 one day. He'll be back!

Simple really.
i was just asking on what grounds you were calling for his his promotion.
I never said he wa bad. Quite the opposite.
His early form this year was average. It has gotten better. His first grade game was great.
I just could not understand how you could call for somebodies promotion, that you had not seen play this year.
