It is possible....from my understanding a lot of supporters of other Scottish clubs dislike Rangers and Celtic because the hatred and ill feeling between the 2 stems from the northern Ireland conflict. Glasgow isn't in northern Ireland is it? As Aberdeen fans sing to Celtic and Rangers fans...

I used to support Celtic but switched to Hibernian about 9 months ago. Reason for it is not only do I still harbour delusions of going to live in Edinburgh one day (or anywhere I scotland for that matter....it looks f**king magic!) but I reckon theres just too much bullsh*t in supporting one of the Auld Firm teams.... I mean, I respect the history and the rivalry and the spectacle of Auld Firm matches but the culture of both teams is too primal/intense... besides, the hatred/rivalry between Hibs and Hearts is just as intense!

Yes well, believe it or not there are one or two New Zealanders of Italian parentage. You will know all about one called Daniel Vettori after the cricket tomorrow. ;-)

I thought AS Roma were all the right wing, neo-Nazi fruitcakes, not Lazio...

Both have right wing elements in their fan base (as does any club, especially in Italy), but Roma only recently (last 10 years) has that element become unfortunately visible and ugly.

Lazio is the one with traditional fascist leanings. More a team of the Roman provincial country side where fascism is more prevelant, especially in planned cities created by the fascist regime like Latina. They were Mussolini's favourite team and are famous for players such as Paulo Di Cannio who is a Lazio idol, loved to death by their fans, for his fascist salutes and unapologetic adoration for Mussolini as much as his football ability. He also did fascist salutes when playing for West Ham. Meat head.

Roma was traditionally a leftist team but that has sadly become blurred.
