Just a subtle kick in the guts for Longmuir. Obvious Sheens turned the camp on Longmuir and painted himself as the knight in shinning armour. The man has exceptional survival skills and can manipulate the people around him. Thats why he has been in this game for so long, he is like a long standing politician, he knows how to play the game and who to throw mud at and when. In a funny way I quite admire the bloke, you have to have some skill to fool most of the people most of the time.

Im not a tigers fan but i find it pretty astounding that the coach of a club could make comments that factions within wanted a player out. Especially when you are still the coach, the bloke is still a player, and atleast part of those factions are probably still at the club.

Just further proof that Sheens runs the show at Wests and the blazer brigade behind the scenes don't do anything.

I'm assuming it must surely dawn on all the WT board and the CEO that the situation Sheens and his cronies have made for themselves at WT is unsustainable at they must re-assert their authority. They dropped the ball badly over Longmuir and allowed Sheens to twist the argument in his favour- at some stage they have to realise it is a battle for who actually runs the club.

This could also be an indication that Sheens doesn't feel as untouchable as previous years and is feeling the pressure so he is resorting to comments like this to try and make the board think twice before getting rid of him.

A lot of the top players who have been under the same coach for a while have these clauses anyway. Nothing out of ordinary there.
