thanks for that SK, but when I hit the link i am just taken to (like) the google front page.

does not take me to the actual video.

i tried copying the whole link that i now see (in this message, in your "quote") - but that did not work either.

I tried to find the press conf, myself, last night.
but failed.

would be funny to see it again.

any tips....

Ha ha - that interview.
was hilarious.

ryles was sent off for a nothing "kick"(! ? !) in a scrum - i think.

i can't remember the words, but something like ..."ryles should have really finished him off (for being sent off).."
and lots more.

he really had a rant that day.

 One of the best things Browny ever did. One of the first few times sides actually stood up to the cheating, grappling merkin scum

I always said Brownie should have disappeared for 5 years and then return to coach us before his appointment back then.
Agree ,would like to have him now rather than Price.Never forget the way Browny fired up after a game v the Storm when Ryles was sent off.

One of my all time favourite dragon RL moments.
http://www.heraldsun.com.au/sport/nrl/storm-threaten-legal-action/story-e6frfgbo-1111117009607

MELBOURNE Storm chief executive Brian Waldron was last night threatening legal action over an extraordinary attack on his club by St George Illawarra coach Nathan Brown.

Waldron claimed Brown's outburst, where he accused the Storm of illegal tactics and warned of a "bloodbath", was defamatory and questioned Melbourne's integrity.

Brown exploded in an animated press conference yesterday as the bitter fall-out of Monday's battle continued.

Later, he told the Herald Sun he wanted the NRL to make the next meeting between the teams a "free-for-all", while urging his players to employ "an eye for an eye" tactics.

Brown was reacting to Billy Slater's successful headbutt defence at the NRL judiciary on Wednesday night.

Slater's legal team argued that his part in the first half all-in brawl was provoked by a headbutt from Dragons winger Jason Nightingale.

The lawyers also produced three previous grade 2 contrary-conduct offences they felt were more serious. The win saw Slater's charge downgraded.

It also led to Brown launching his rocket.

On Slater, Brown said: "If we get another crack at them, I'll be telling Jason Nightingale to headbutt him harder.

"I just pray we get another go at them.

"The people in charge should make it a free-for-all.

"If they want to use the grapple (tackle) and all the other pressure points, that's fine, but if they get whacked, they shouldn't whinge. I'll be telling my boys to give them a whack.

"If they go down, I'll be telling them to whack them again when they get up. Jason Ryles should have decked him (Jeff Lima)."

Brown, in his final season at the Dragons, then accused Melbourne of using illegal tactics in defence.

"Billy Slater ran in to fight. They claimed he was head-butted, but didn't mention it was a wrestling technique (from Cooper Cronk on Jamie Soward) which provoked the whole thing," he said.

"They should cop it on the chin. If we play them again, I'll be telling my blokes to rip in. An eye for an eye.

"If the NRL say something is illegal, I'll still be telling my boys to act on it.

"It is the schoolboy bully scenario. We have to be allowed to get at them."

Brown's outburst has infuriated Melbourne, with Waldron saying: "His accusations are nothing short of outrageous and ridiculous and certainly defaming to our players and our staff and our footy club.

"We're seeking (legal) advice. We think it's totally out of line and extremely disappointing."

Waldron said he would speak today with NRL boss David Gallop about the issue.

"I think he's also questioning the integrity of the game and the referees of the game and the officialdom of the game," he said.

"The thing that is frustrating more than anything and disappointing is Nathan Brown's frustrations at not being able to defeat us the other night should not be able to be used as an excuse to make such outlandish comments or statements. It's easy for him to say at the end that he doesn't have an issue with the Storm. That just doesn't wash with us.

"The defaming comments just don't wash.

"We'll get advice and we'll act accordingly over the next 48 hours."

Nightingale himself labelled Slater's involvement in the fight "a dog act".

"He picked me out when two of his mates held me," he said.

"It was a dog act . . . It wasn't one on one. If it was, I don't think he would have started punching."

Slater refused to bite back last night.

Storm Craig Bellamy also bit his tongue, saying: "No comment. I've got a game to prepare for."

Brown became the third top-eight coach this week to accuse Storm of employing the grapple.

Cronulla's Ricky Stuart and Sydney Roosters coach Brad Fittler also hit out.

Slater's one-week ban means he will miss Sunday's trip to Auckland to face the New Zealand Warrio

Browny had a superior roster to the one Price is currently trying to win games with.
Yes ,but after a horror injury toll in 2003 ,he bought in players who have gone on to be esablished 1st graders eg Creagh and couldn't quite get us there in 05 and 06.

I haven't forgiven Brownie for dropping Soward in the last round of 2008 against the Roosters at the SFS. Stupid move and we paid for it.

How about dropping him for the manly semi!!!

Apparently it was the senior players who preferred Ben Rogers!!

WTF??!!!!

How is Dean Young?

Surely he can't play this weekend?

he was at training today for the team talk and Captain's run but he didn't do the whole session with the boys!

just some light stretching. he got cog tested today, then he'll get a medical assessment tomorrow and the medical team will decide if he's good to go! wouldn't expect a decision before tomorrow arvo tho :)

Deano never does much physical stuff at training because of his knee.
He's a tough bugger but I hope he doesn't play.

Erin on the Footy show said they were still testing. I don't care what tests they do, if you get knock out it should exclude you from playing at least one week surely?
