Did anyone seem to catch the rugby segment on channel ten news ...

They were showing a clip of a breakfast in the style of the NRL'S grand final breakfast to promote the NSW v QLD game on the weekend and they cut to a clip of fox commentator Greg Martin who happens to be from QLD he started crapping on how it was typical of the ARU that only NSW officals were seriously considered for the job of new ARU boss , He than began saying that the candidates had "fairy names" like "Pretty & Flowers" then reffered to them as "A bunch of gays" And then fro some reason screamed into the microphone "twinkieS" ..

They cut straight back to Tim Webster who went as white as a ghost and said something along the lines of "Errr Interesting comments"

Ive never seen anything like it?

Did anyone else catch it?

yeah, i saw it. it was the biggest bull shit i've ever seen.
they had all qlders there, totally bagging nsw. i'm pretty sure it wasnt meant to be totally serious.. but it was still pretty rediculous. i think everyone who saw that part knows the underlying truth about the whole thing. in that qld are just cut that they havent won anything for a long time, in any top-line sport.
they also had jimmy maher up there talking about how all that nsw players play for is themselves, in the hope of an aussie jumper, that they dont play with any heart.

sour grapes from up there as far as i'm concerned.

I hope they both lift their game. As I have heard its a huge crowd. I have picked the Reds though. As they always seem to kno how to upset the Tahs.

In the paper today, it's said that the 'Tahs called the fuction a "Hillbilly Luncheon"

In my opinion, all this crap is one-sided from noth of the Tweed to try and generate some Origin style passion.

NSW have Rogers, Kasprowiscz & Tuqiri, whom Sam Scott-Young called "turncoats", yet Queensland have Chris Latham & Van Humphries (I think he's a NSW'man).

Cheers,
Ben S.
