Allan Langer - Deborah Kerr (in case you don't get the reference, HG and Roy coined it as she starred in a movie with Yul Brynner called The King and I).

Also Trevor Gilmeister was the second axe. The original and best, who taught Gilly how to tackle so effectively, was Bunny "The Axe" Reilly.

Mr. Kevin James RYAN, LL.B. (1934 - ) - Kandos - because he was as tough as Kandos cement.

So tough, in fact, that the Coffs Harbour Incident team wooed him away from those great St. George teams by offering him the captaincy.

Luckily for him, and the state of New South Wales, in retirement he distanced himself from the Coffs Harbour Incident team by becoming a Member of the NSW Legislative Assembly between 1976-1984 and the Member for Hurstville between 1976-1984.

Didn’t Hoppa actually take that as his boxing nickname? Gotta give him some credit, he can laugh at himself.

Russell Fairfax was called Fairy back in the day.
Ian Schubert was Schuey or the Shoe.

I remember when Easts beat Parra at the Sports Ground in 1978 Schubert lost one of his boot but scored a run away 60 metre try with only one boot on and the papers the next day said One Shoe Schubert socks it to them.
