I notice a lot of similarities in Bob Blair and michael Cronin.
Blair is big. Fst, Strong. Can step. Can Fend. Has pump. Will take his opponent on. Will have a dig in defence.
What else do you want in a centre three quarter?
Killkenny and I went to all three grades for the Pennnies this year. Fair enough, we fiished nowhere in firsts, but PL, Fleff, Sg, and matts, we are going o.k.
Jennings, AS HE SHOULD! cops a lot of raps. He is a class act and probably the best centre we've seen since Steve Renouf.
Fibro is a good judge of a player:
POINTS TO NOTE: (from fibro)
-Jennings will play origin or for Aus this year.
-Petro will rep agaon in the front row.
-Pritchard will rep for NZ in the back row.
-Waterhouse will rep for NSW or Oz in the gack row.
-Blair may be a dark horse for the centres or the bench in th backs
-Lewis may rep in the centres, wing, lock or back row.
SAM MCKENDRY may play first grade in the front row this year.
SHANE BLACKETT may be the next Col VanderVoort in the lock position (you heard it first here)
Lachlan Coote, although I have seen the kid play, and believe me.......HE HAS TALENT. He is is the samw mould as Jarrod Sammunt (albiet about 23cm short on the slack). But really, lets be honest.............How may flashy atacking weapons do we want in th backline?
You need a balance:
1 f;ashy/solid fullback6./ winger
2. solid winger
3. flashy centre
4. solid centre.
5. Flashy winger
6. Flashy/solid.brainy, tough 5/8th
7. Kicker who can pass. or........... a legend like Gowie that can runa t the line and beat them all and score by himself.
