Don't know if he's as explosive as Fa's but he looks a good front row prospect at just 21.
Yeah I think it was an article from one of those dodgy websites...not much to it yet.
LINKThe Newcastle Knights are pleased to announce Zane Tetevano has re-signed with the Club for a further two years.
The New Zealand born forward has been at the Knights for four years after he was invited to junior representative trials in 2007. He played one season in the SG Ball, two years in Toyota Cup before moving into the full time squad this year.
Tetevano played 18 games in the NSW Cup team this season before earning selection to make his NRL debut in Round 20.
The 20 year-old’s re-signing comes after two solid performances in the NRL but contract negotiations were already underway.
“Zane is a great young talent coming through our system in Newcastle and we have seen over the last two weeks what he is capable of at the top level," coach Rick Stone said.
“We brought Zane to the Club as a 17 year-old so it is particularly pleasing for the Club to be rewarded for the time and development put into him.
“He is a dynamic running forward who has some genuine line breaking ability and he is a real find and boost for the NRL squad, particularly at this time of the year.”
Tetevano is delighted to be extending his contract with the Newcastle Knights.
“I am grateful to the Knights for what they have done for me and I wouldn’t want to be anywhere else,” Tetevano said.
“The Club has really looked after me and I also have a close group of friends and family in the area.
“I feel fortunate for the opportunity I have been given at the Knights and I just want to do well for my teammates and to make my family proud.”
Tetevano has today been selected on an extended interchange bench for Sunday’s game against the Canberra Raiders at Ausgrid Stadium.
