More cruel luck for the Kiwis and Vaikona as it was revealed he actually was chosen in the test team and he went out a few hours later for Bradford and tore his cruciate ligament and is now out for the season.

Would have been awesome to see him and Vainikolo on the wings for NZ.

AW, him and Vanikolo is a wining cobination. They play awsome for Bradford and they would of done well in the NZ team.

Tonight Meli made one glaring mistake, but IMO looked a better player than Vainikolo, who basically just ran sideways.

TV hasn't been very lucky. He was also lined up to play in the NZ tour of the UK in 2002.

Meli didnt get involved enough. Vainikolo is very hard to bring down he was dangerous everytime he touched the ball but the Aussies controlled him pretty well.

Bradford would only release 2 players, so Vaikakolo replaced him. They couldn't take both and Paul.
