Thaiday out for 6 weeks

Milton Thaiday's Queensland dream is all but over for 2006 with the Newcastle fullback likely facing six weeks on the NRL sidelines with an ankle injury.
Thaiday suffered significant ligament damage to his ankle in the Knights 24-18 win over South Sydney on Sunday and will see a specialist on Tuesday to decide whether it requires surgery.
Club doctor Neil Haplin, who assessed Thaiday on Monday, was confident the custodian would not need to go under the knife, but said even in a brace it would take up to six weeks for the ankle to heal sufficiently for Thaiday to return.
The 26-year-old former NSW Waratah rugby player had enjoyed a cracking start to his second year at the Knights, scoring five tries in eight games to put himself in the picture for possible Queensland selection.

Also Seage missed last weeks game because he was ill. dunno how he is now obviously..but yeh fingers crossed on him...otherwise we shouldnt wrry too much..we do have Hinton...love to see him get a go

He's an exciting player to watch. Hope he's not out for any longer because he adds so much to the attack. David Seage just keeps breaking down when he's given the spot so hopefully he can stay fit.

Are all of your 57 posts as insightful as this one?

Milton getting injured is a blow for us obviously, but we have Seagey there as well as Hinton. Its a bit worrying that the injuries are starting to mount tho.

I'd say there is a chance that supercoach just might name Kidley at fullback for the game on Sunday. Personally I wouldn't mind giving Hinton a run. He has class written all over him.

Hinton has been on fire, Seage has been fairly pedestrian this year.

Hinton it is.

Nathan Hinton mate. Premier League fullback. Been with the club for prob 3-4 years I suppose. Making his way up the grades. Very good with the ball in hand. Much like Robbie O in the way he sniffs around the ruck for any little opening. If he's named in the side tomorrow, he won't let anybody down.

Yes, how many games have you attended? Nothing to do with been a bigger fan but i think i'm in a far better position to judge Seage's form having seen all but one of his games i think.

In PL he has been nothing special at all while Hinton has been absolutely killing it. Line break after line break, some breathtaking tries and incredible defense at the back.

Seage in is two first grade games - one where Josh Perry would have looked good on the wing and the other where i thought he was very pedestrian with what ball he got.

He was absolutely woeful against Melbourne, infact disgraceful. You can say the whole team was but simple things like refusing to dive on loose balls and poor positional play where the highlights of his night.

Pedestrian might be a bit of a wrap on his form. Isn't he once again injured anyway?
