well if he couldnt make the starting pack or bench in 01 how come he played around 20 games for them that year? i was under the impression that he was dumped for the finals by smith after playing the 20 games during the year cause smith didnt think he was playing well  history shows the loss in the gf with that brilliant foward pack you speak of.

he didnt play 20 games that yr .. your WRONG.

Just because we didnt win the GF dosnt mean we didnt have a good pack ..... shows how much you know about the game :sarcasm:

there were just too many forwards ahead of him at the time .... we were sorry to see him go.

im sure he enjoyed his barcklays premiership:lol:

my bad, few years since i'd read the article but managed to find it still alive and kicking and not archived on the net, reread it and it quotes jc as saying he played 18. HUGE difference from 20, no doubt about it ;-) what do the parra stats say he played that year?

as for the rest, yeah what ever  but we were sorry to see him go too, not that its any consolation to anyone.

there are 26 games that season, and 3 final games, he played 18, and was constantly under preasure from robo, chan, plus sullivan (who was on fire that year in PL b4 injuring himself). plus we had 4 props already (cayless, Vella, solomona and ryan who was considered a prop), so a nother 1 off the bench wouldn't have been needed... he wasn't dropped cos of bad form, just other players who where in better form got ahead of him
