Didn't see the game at all

But it says that Inu had 6 errors in possession!! That's enormous! He only ran the ball 12 times....

Pretty hot and cold day for Inu today!! my god.. Some dumb football from him. But hey, 196m made, cant complain too much. And that was his worse game for us!!

196m, exactly!

Some people seem to think that rugby league is simply a comparison of errors made. You know the good stuff counts too right?

Inu and Mateo have been a godsend so far this season.

Does that count attacking bombs he got a hand to? That's hardly fair.

Otherwise as I recall Maloney threw him two terrible passes and he lost the ball near the tryline only after catching another poor pass miraculously and almost scoring a freakish try.

If it counts running over the sideline then you can include 1 where he did what he could to retrieve a kick but touched the line, and 1 absolutely moronic play at the end of the game- I'll give you that.

NRLstats has him at 236m.

But 6 errors must be close to a record....

Thing is, nobody here is going to say that Inu doesn't make meters running from dummy half. Heck, he's almost as good as Taulima Tautai in that regard! The real problem for Inu is his lack of speed when in the open; and his tendancy to drop the ball for no good reason (especially should it touch his shorts).
Not many guys in the comp who I would rate as better under the high ball, but Inu is fast becoming a poor mans version of Eric Grothe Jr (ie - brings all the errors but without the same amount of blockbusting power and certainly without the extreme pace).

Handy depth guy - but the alleged money you mob paid for him....

Oh - AND he'd be the best winger at Parra by FAR if he was playing for us this year (that's more a reflection of our crap wingers) - but those stupid errors at the wrong time send fans mental. You've only endured it 11 games, wait until this time next year when there's no improvement and he's dropping the ball while trying to play it on the second tackle YET AGAIN.

I dunno - like I said I didn't see the game. They tend not to count touches on bombs against them UNLESS it was a real chance at a grab.

I don't think it counts running out? But maybe it does?

He definitely didn't drop the ball 6 times. I think he dropped it twice in general play.

Inu has been pretty awesome this season. probably the best ive ever seen him. today was his worst game... but even so... all his errors were really because he was trying something special.

hes f**king miles better than any outside backs at his old joint anyway...

Fair criticisms I'd say. The comment about his speed is dead right and I think people sometimes call him casual because they simply can't get their heads around how slow he is! But that's simply something you have to accept and set your expectations accordingly.

I'm happy to have a guy who pushes through the line on kick returns, catches bombs, and has an excellent skill set for a winger, and trade it for some silly errors. The key is that he keeps his involvement high. So far this season he has done that which is why even today I'm prepared to forgive him some bonehead plays.

He was at his best in his rookie season - 2007. That's the last time he was consistently good.

Since then he's been rocks and diamonds. As you saw today he managed to be rocks and diamonds in the same game.

Give me rocks and diamonds any day over some bludger who does nothing. Players make mistakes because they dare to play footy.

yeah... i remember it well... but this season i actually think hes been better.

sure... today he showed he still has those rocks...

but defensively as a winger... hes been safe as houses. his game against Melbourne was OUTSTANDING... he defused everything Melbourne threw at him.

then theres his attack... particularly off kicks... he has deadset terrorized wingers and fullbacks this season in the air... Duffie, Slater & Quinn couldn't handle him... Preston Campbell is still having nightmares...

i remember his form back in 07... he owed a lot to Tahu on his inside... he seems like hes got a whole new dimension to his game in the air...

we all knew he was dangerous in the air... but the Warriors just seem to be able to make use of it even more so... and with Vatuvei on the other wing... they look dangerous on both sides.

its still early though... hes got to show more consistency yet...

No doubt at all that the Eels side misses these two. Neither vacancy has been filled. Mateo moreso.

Thanks for the critique of the way we structure our squad, but we seem to be doing ok with the way its made up just quietly. Inu has been very good for us, gone from being axed before round 1 to being a critical part of the team.

Bump!!! Anyone see Mr casual get run down just then???? All the talent in the world but still just to casual for his own good.

I don't think it had much to do with being casual. He is, was, and always will be... slow. But very skillful. I get the feeling because he doesn't grit his teeth and put on an angry face that he's up for criticism.

whilst we are on about this game, great couple of 40:20 kicks from Sandow - he has a boot on him ! Also, we were alledgedly interested in John Sutton, mountain of a man with all the skills but totally missing in action today, glad we nabbed Chris Sandow

We all know how slow he is, after his injury in early 2008 he lost a heap of speed. But he thought he was home and slowed up thats the bit that made me bump this thread. But he has all the skills great on his feet and great in the air. It's just what is between his ears is the problem.

lol... Inu would walk in even easier...

They would both walk into our side but they had shit attitudes so they had to go.

In the short term it would've been good to keep them but in the long term they were part of the cancer at our club.
