Thanks For Season 11/12

So ends another season. Thanks as always to the regulars for keeping it going, the new guys for bringing something different & the Fantasy guys for doing what the rest of us won’t! I still enjoy this place more than anywhere else. Special thanks to Abpanther for cleaning up around here too.

And don’t forget, if you want to have a game next season, follow the WSP links on the side. Even if they aren’t close to you, you can find a club that is. There is definitely a position for all body types so get in & have a go! Hopefully I’ll get to a few more games next season as I’ll have finished one degree & only be doing my Masters, was contemplating a weekly wrap up of the Sydney comp.

Hopefully everyone returns, or doesn’t leave, & keeps this forum the best part of LU!

Been an interesting season.

*I won a Fantasy title finally
*Kurt Faulk continues to be a hate-riot
*Ron Jeremy continues to talk up the pats more than his own team
*Big Mick spent the first 4 weeks in hysteria, and then depressed for the rest of another bad season for the Bills
*Raider_69 hung onto hope of an Eagles revival until they absolutely mathematically had no chance, and then secretly, i think he was still hoping giants and cowboys would somehow get disqualified before the playoffs.
*Every time I saw Jono78 post "Surely Tebow can't win from here", i knew Denver would win.
*Even tho I don't like the 49ers and really wanted the Giants to beat them, I felt really bad for AB who seemed heartbroken.
*DC continued to post more Dallas news than humanly possible. I think he once posted news about Romos girlfriends Tamagotchi dying
*First thing I thought when Norv Turner was retained as coach of Chargers was "shit, RCB will be pissed!"

A few dickheads seemed to creep in at times which is sad. I guess we couldnt keep this forum dickhead free forever. But anyways, good season chatting shit, I can't say I'll be too keen on the offseason since The Raiders pretty much have no part in it, so unless we do something in FA, see you all again come fantasy draft time!!!!

i have always thought this is flat out the best forum out there. even the whiner fanboys couldn't drag it down. always great to discuss the nfl with fans from other team in a mostly dignified manner. even if sometimes we take potshots at each other it doesn't overtake the general feel of the forum.

i'm also happy to see alot of the new guys join in. the more the merrier.

and alfieboy, did i tell you about the time warner threw a pick 6 in superbowl 36? just as he threw the ball he got clubbed across the head with a swinging forearm. of course no roughing the passer penalty. who is in charge of that call? the referee. who is in charge of grounding calls, particularly the one brady did on the last drive of the game? the referee. who picked up a flag against the patriots when the rams fumbled just before halftime? the referee. who tried, for a couple of minutes, to make a linesman pick up a flag when mcginest was flagged for holding/tackling faulk on the play the patriots recovered a warner fumble and ran it back for a td? the referee. who relayed that penalty to the viewing audience and looked like he was ready to strangle someone? the referee. who was the referee? bernie kukar. certified f**kwit.

I absolutely loved Tebow-mania this season and got soaked right up in it Hope it returns in 2012

Was a good season of discussions here, I like the fact that there is very little dickheads and we actually get some good chatter happening, especially in the early morning game day threads.

Hope you are all back next season, in fact hopefully you all stick around for the off season, it should be an interesting draft and free agency

Went neck and neck with the Ravens all season, but botched it every time we had a chance to leapfrog them, and because we lost to the merkins twice, ended up 5th seed instead of divisional champions. Then we were undone by injury and Tim f**king Tebow, despite a great comeback to force the game into OT.

Oh well, at least the Ravens f**ked up in the Conference Championship game and I didn't have to endure them in a Superbowl.
