Funny thing is they are actually 8th after that win. Too bad for them that Penrith and Newcastle had to be playing eachother THIS weekend. The draw conspires against the Tigers.

Thanks Tigers, as I said to my best mate who is a tigers fan, you guys deserve to be there more than myths like Parra, the Knights or Panthers.

Hopefully you can do it next season.

I would like to add my thanks for 1. smashing the dogs (who doesn't like to see that?!) and 2. gifting us the minor premiership.

I am sure it means very little to you all, but the Tigers got some great big cheers during score updates at the Saints match tonight.

All the best next year.

Look guys, it was more about us than you.

We really wanted the 9th place more than the Dogs wanted 1st, that's what it came down to.

you deserved a spot in the semis and would have a great chance if the refs didn't give moanly that game last week.

anyway, been a fair bit of bad blood betwen saints and tiges fans the last few years.

i've always thought it's gone too far and would like to extend an olive branch

and, yes a big thanks for your sides efforts last night.

i was at the saints game with my son and the look of joy on his face as we were crowned minor premiers was priceless.

cheers

I loved the look on Wayne Bennetts face after the game. He doesn't smile all that much but after the game last night I caught a smirk on his face a few of times. It made me laugh. It looked like he was thinking "I don't choke and St George Illawarra won't choke whilst I'm here." I think St.George Illawarra were taking it easy the last few weeks before this game so they wouldn't have burn out during the finals.

I was watching the game, prepared to laugh at mistakes since it all meant jack all. Man I was shocked when J-Mo sent that cut out pass to Ayshford to score the opener.

Other good news from the win, we finish above Souths (the bye).

Bennett said in the dressing room at full time, that he expected the tigers to win and thought they were very unlucky not to be in the eight. Dont know if I agree, over a long season you make your own luck and its a swings and roundabout thing. I think what hurts the most is how average the eight is this year and what damage we could have inflicted if we were their.

Wayne knows who is in our squad and he knows that the Wests Tigers should have made the top 8. We didn't make the top 8 because players have been playing out of their best positions. If Wayne Bennett was our coach this year we would have made the top 8.
