As you all know i'm not one for bragging but I have to thank you all for making this site a roaring success and even though this site currently has 82 members we have made an impact on ninemsn. If there are any improvements or suggestions you would like to make, please feel free to come forward because we are all ears..

Very close to the millenium indeed.

Guys, once we hit 100 members nominations will be put forward by the four managers for two(2) new assistant mangers and then a vote will be conducted by you, the members of this community to see who the two new managers are. This way it is fair and no one can complain about favouritism which has plagued other sites. I am extremely busy at work due to tax time and my weekends are quite full as well, hence I am rarely sighted on weekends, which is why we need two assistant managers to help moderate the site as it grows. I am confident this site will continue to grow and I have also checked other msn sites to see what the norm is regarding the number of managers and six seems to be about average for a site this size. I also think it will generate a lot of interest on the site. Please feel free to make any comments about this process.

A great point for debate Saint. I'd be curious to know what everyon thought was an acceptable size for this forum. Maybe once we reach a quota we make the community semi-restricted? It certainly wont be 3500 though.

It's time consuming but members could apply for membership once the cut off point has been reached. If the quota has been exceeded, they may have to go on a 'wait list'.
IMO, nomination from another member should mean instant membership.
I think duplicate or multiple memberships to one user should be discouraged.
Membership vacancies can happen when existing members haven't contributed for say 6 months. A priority 'hit list' list could be put up every so often. If the member is still lurking then they'll have the opportunity to say that that are still with us.
These can be posted as guidelines on the front door of the site.
This sounds all very 'clubby' I know and I'm sure it's open to ridicule.
This is justone of spur of the moment ideas and I'm boucing it into this discussion.

I think both ideas have merit and in the end it will be what the members decide is best. I am happy for the site to grow but at no stage will I sacrifice the autonomy we have at this site by introducing an affiliate as we would lose the independence we have now gained and we would also lose control of who could and could not join. So, in short, we will not be selling out to anyone.
