I was not there, but a close friend and fellow Sharkie had a shop in the mall and most weekends had his mall display’s tipped over. They walked up and down the mall disrespecting the locals and if you pushed back the level of abuse was ugly. Lots of stuff like that never made the ABC program. I was in the mall recently and it’s all very nice now. Back in the day we took our girls to the Double A steak house.
That was my recollection as well.

Largely promoted as race related, and that certainly flamed a lot of what followed, but all stemmed from law and order issues.

Friends had late teen/early 20s sons at the time and they ended up avoiding the area as they would be harassed until a fight broke out. Often by a pip squeek one on one then when it started there's be a mass pile on.

Love how today on sharks socials is all about signing up for membership…. Yet everything but concourse and GA is “sold out”. Bullshit every single seated member from last year has renewed.

WHY MAKE IT SO HARD!!!

Once upon a time, I would have derided your comment. Not any more, I’m not returning next year after god knows how many years of membership. I’ll lob to a select game, but sitting on my ass at home or in a bar is way more appealing.
Sad but true

Same here, it's ridiculous in 2026 a professional sporting team in a code flush with money is playing at a ground that's barely at a park footy standard.

Tide has definitely changed in here.
2 years ago there would have only been a handful who would have criticised the ground and they got slammed for it.
Now I dare say 90% have given up defending it and 40% open to having to move.

Dino needs to read the room. Before when we struggled on the field the home ground meant more. Now we have a great team and a terrible home. I still think the club bosses think we love it as much as they do… they are wrong and it would be great to see a groundswell of feedback letting them know it’s not good enough.

Word to those not renewing - be wary of the members team at the club.
I had ticked ‘non renewal’ on the members portal, but they went ahead anyway and took my cash and renewed my membership for 2026. It was sorted with apology post my request, but still, amateur hour.

So the “button” doesn’t work. It’s no wonder they are all “sold out”. Cluster.

One thing I wonder if they do (they wouldn't) is if there's multiple single seats in a row unsold, is asking people if they wouldn't mind shuffling up a seat or 3 and that way the single seats can be sold as block of 2 or 3. I don't know a great amount of people that would buy a seated season ticket to sit on their own.

Stop coming in here with these ridiculous ideas.

Saw them in Brisbane for the first time with my son. Absolutely awesome concert.
Was great until the boss got a "ready to spew migraine" mid set. We caught the train in from Campbelltown too so had to work out a way "home" without being jammed in with the exiting crowd...

I'd had only about 10 hours sleep over the last 4 days due to shift changes and my body clock seizing up.
I got home yesterday with some beer to knock me out.
Sitting on my balcony I got to No.5 and fell asleep for a couple of hours.
Woke with a moment of clarity
I had the solution to fix our home ground.
1st step - enter and win one of those US $20Billion dollar lotteries.
2nd step - get PVL, Dino and Mace in a room together and work out the plan to lobby the Govt's as I will be putting up $1Billion on behalf of the Sharks
3rd step - either renovate the ground or build a new one at Loftus. With one condition. If it's Loftus The Dargons have to play out of the new ground, but it will be the Sharks ground and there will be the Shark emblem everywhere, ala Roosters at the SFS.

Can anyone see any flaws to this plan? Because I've got tunnel vision for the project and cannot see anything untoward or wrong with it.
Suggestions for both positive and negative welcome.
