How will the rep teams be selected? Do you have room for this Origin rep and Kangaroo vice-captain?

With regards to the rep match, will it be under the current shadow format or a separate match altogether?

How about this...?

A selection process where the captains put forward their interested players in two lists: one for City and one for Country.
Some players who live in Rural areas but were brought up in the City (or vice versa) can qualify for either.

The captains put up the names and then we have two camps.

Once the players have been nominated by the captains, we then select two non-playing coaches.

The two non-playing coaches then select a squad of ten players per team.

It will be a true Forum Sevens encounter with 7v7 (+ 3 reserves each).

For this to happen, we require the assistance of as many captains as possible.

Still waiting to see which Bluebags are available.. should have a few.

In the meantime, how and when do we make the selections?

How:
I suggest we have two non playing coaches... my choice would be Mystique and Green Eye who both are familiar with the F7s but are not affiliated to any team.
Green Eye: City coach
Mystique: Country coach

Both coaches simply select a squad of 10 players each and appoint a captain. The captains then take over.

When:
With the City v Country deadline set down for Wednesday 17th September. I suggest the selections are finalised before next Wednesday's round 10 deadline (Sept 10th).

The coaches will name the two opposing captains before afterTuesaday night and before Wednesday night.
After the coaches name their skippers, the captains then select their squads of 10 players each.

The Captains who have so far put up their hands:
ozzie (Country)
Big Mick (Country or City)
Tamazoid (Country or City)
Moffo (City)

Come on Zef, Seano, broncoman, LeagueNut. All you guys can throw your hat in.
