The 2007 NCAA March Madness Thread!

Still a month away, but I figured it was time to start getting excited for the best basketball on the face of the planet.

I'm pulling for my beloved Tar Heels to grind this out, though I think Florida look good for a possible back-to-back as well.

I hope Duke get bombed out in the first round. I hope BYU make it to the sweet sixteen, and I hope Kevin Durant (who I would take over Oden) and the Longhorns make the final four.

im not tipped on florida this year NC has been awesome and i think we will be hard too beat im so pissed about not getting NC vs Duke espn always show it :?

Yeah, ESPN can be pretty random! One minute they're spinning you in a celebratory whirl because they show an Oden/Durrant back-to-back double, and then screw you over by skipping the UNC/Duke game!?

How the heck do you justify skipping the UNC/Duke rivalry!? WTF!?

i think we have only had 2 NC games this year it does seem too be so much texas and ohio state but Durant is so much fun too watch this guy will be bigger than wade and anothony

and yes i agree wonder what we got instead maybe a repeat of the soccer lol i dont believe how espn can screw its viewers at least this year the nba games have been fixed and we have been getting the 2 games a week every week

UNC drew a #1 seed, in the East division...The other three #1 seeds are Florida, Kansas (WTF!?) and Ohio State...

Unfortunately UNC will have to play the winner of Marquette/Michigan State before they even get to the Sweet Sixteen. From there they have either USC or Kevin Durrant and the Texas Longhorns. Tough road to even get to the Elite Eight...

As for my sleeper, BYU, they unfortunately drew a #8 seed in the South disivion and will be up against Xavier and then if they get through that they'll probably bow out to Greg Oden and Ohio State in the next round. Damn, I thought a nationally ranked team should've gone higher than that...

And yes, my fingers are crossed that VCU dump Duke out in the first round, though I doubt it.

i will be getting up to watch winthrop in that one!

kiwi craig bradshaw plays for them, and have gone 28-4 (winning the big south unbeaten) only losses have been to my team (6th ranked) wisconsin in overtime, (4th ranked) north carolina, (9th ranked) texas a+m, (18th ranked) maryland.

alot of experts have picked them as the likely cinderella team.

My thoughts:
1) What are Arkansas and Xavier (you could also say Texas Tech as well) doing in the field when there's deserving teams like Drexel and Kansas State who missed out?
2) The badgers were my national title tip in January, but now since they lost a guy to injury, so now my final 4 is Florida, UCLA, Georgetown and Texas A&M with UCLA winning the whole shebang.

My first round upset pick: Virginia Commonwealth to knock over Duke in the first round.
