this season handling errors seem to be around every game in epidemic proportion, forward passes too- nrl standard seems to have dropped like a stone so far this season watching over here in England- thinking of getting rid of premier sports for nrl and going back to uk sky for superleague instead.

Velcro ball and Velcro gloves for all players.

It's the only solution.

The big question would be - should it be soft ball, spiky gloves or spiky ball, soft gloves?

You realise the 'fox footy' channel is for AFL?

Switch over to channel 502 and you'll find the quality of game improves..

I wouldn't bother mate Super League is at the weakest standard in a long time. Im English and know it is nowhere near the level of the NRL

It is the result of referee's allowing the defensive team to move before the ball clears the ruck.
The rule =

"All defending players are required to be ‘in line’ with the Referee marking the 10 metres. The Referee will call "go" when the ball is clear of the ruck and then the defensive line is entitled to move forward. "

the extra pressure is causing the drop ball.

Melbourne and Cronulla are great exponents of moving too early.

Not since Aug 12 2013 has there been any decent ball handling.

Nowadays Sam couldn't grip a handlebar

Be fair, your boys are at least as good as the Warriors and Titans. Well maybe just the Warriors.

There must be a lot more wet weather footy this year than normal. That wouldn't help. Teams also seem to be more willing to play expansive footy this year.

I think the quality has been fine for the opening 4 tounds of the season.

They're taking the game on a bit more this year.

It's hard work trying to catch a pass from 5-10 metres away.

its not very entertaining viewing though, stop, start, error, scrum, error, penalty, error, scrum ......... the Castleford tigers are much better to watch so far this year for entertainment value.

They were great to watch many times last year too, but the "boring" (read: high percentage play) sides like Wigan and St Helens win. And it is the same in the NRL.

Good luck to Castleford, but I doubt they would win a single game in the NRL.

Teams have off games, and the tackling intensity starts high in the NRL and the rest catches up. By the finals last year, most teams had great handling (obviously the Cowboys were terrible against the Sharks and paid the price).

Good handling doesn't always mean good attack (look at the Bulldogs), but intensity in defense (which causes poor handling in opposition teams) is one of the best signs a team is in form and going to be successful.

I'm happy with 2017 so far, there are errors, but they will clear up. But lots of teams have started tackling hard, which is a good sign for the competition.
