Two games were played at the weekend in the USARL Southern Conference although you wouldn’t know if you go to the USARL website.
The Brooklyn Kings don't seem to have any changes to their website since two years ago. They don't have a FB account and they last updated Twitter in February. I just don't understand the apathy. All the various podcasts are all over it...They should just give the job to Nate Gladdin from RLA pod. Would be up on time every t8me

Thanks but what’s the point of a FB link on their website if it’s obsolete? After trying the link on their own website and getting a blank how am I supposed to know all of these secret links USARL teams seem to have? You're looking in the wrong place i'm guessing Deluded. This is the main way to follow the Kings, not as up to date as their usual high quality stuff but they've over 5,000 followers here https://www.facebook.com/kingsrugbyleague/
That's more than a lot of League one clubs over here

Shame the governing body can't do the same thing.Haha that's a pretty good point! Tbh I've mentioned it before but websites are a dying breed, ours does itself based on what we post to social media, it's only there to serve as a shop front effectively. If we had to actually update it we probably wouldn't bother but it's quite a clever little thing. It serves its purpose but does next to nothing and I don't think anyone even looks at it!

If websites are a dying breed then why have them? If you are going to have them then maintain them otherwise what’s the point?Haha that's a pretty good point! See, even someone involved in the USARL can’t find out any confirmed scores. How difficult is it to get information out there in this day and age? I’m rapidly losing interest in the USARL because of the lack of any effort to put any news or scores on readily available media outlets. It’s too much like hard work trying to find things out and I don’t have the time or the inclination. Not sure on details but a little birdy tells me Lakeland won in only their second ever game this evening
Yes Lakeland Renegades won their first ever game over the Atlanta Rhinos 22-18. I totally agree with the coverage. It's so hard to find results. I'm trying to get into it and watch some games and follow the league but they do make it hard. I follow all the teams on Instagram and you sometimes get score updates there. It's shocking that you can't find barely any information on their official sites. I kind of want to offer my help and update their web pages for them just so the fans can actually find the information they want. If it wasn't for Nate from the RL in America Podcast, no one would know anything about the league.
I would expect the NGB to have some articles leading up to a new season and scores updated. The National Conference League in the UK expect a score to be rung or emailed in within a set time of a game finishing so they can upload to their website. The USARL are becoming like the Russian Federation of Clubs.Nate does a great job doesn't he. He actually made a guest appearance during our live stream yesterday as he'd turned up to the game with his family.
In fairness to lakeland the game had only been finished 30/40 minutes when I posted that. The players were still on the field taking pictures (that's how I found out) with their families etc. I wouldn't expect amateur clubs to have match reports up while the players were still on the pitch
It's a great story but what I've since heard is Atlanta only travelled with a scratch team and had 6 playing in the rugby union national championship final which was yesterday. Can't argue with that really, I'm sure lakeland won't!
Yes I saw that he went to the game with his family which is great. Even his old man was sporting a Tampa shirt! How awesome is that?Nate does a great job doesn't he. He actually made a guest appearance during our live stream yesterday as he'd turned up to the game with his family.

I guess I'm so used to having the NRL and Super League having such good coverage and updates that I've come to expect that everyone should be capable of doing it very quickly.
Yes it was great for Lakeland winning, but it is a shame that Atlanta couldn't get a full strength side for the match. I'm guessing since it was the Rugby final yesterday, that Atlanta should have all their players from here on in?
