According to the guiness book of records 2005 Chris Thorman holds the world record for scoring the quickest try hat trick. It occurred in 2002 when he was playing for huddersfield against doncaster in 6 min 54 sec

I guess it shows the difference between the ESL and NRL

That wasn't ESL. Doncaster has never played above NL1 in the modern structure.

Players cant afford to keep everyone. It does happen. Its called a salary cap.

I'd rather have kept Tonga than Vaeliki when we let Tonga slip.

I'd rather we kept Ryan than Wagon.

Jason Cayless you can forgive considering Vella played SOO the year before.

But this is clearly poor choices as far a player retention.

Tonga over Vaeleki was right then but not now. Tonga himself said it didnt feel right playing in front of an international. If we had known Lyon was going to do a runner Iam sure he would have been retained. He still has massive defensive problems but his improve by 100% since he comes with us. He defended very well in the GF

Ryan was forced out by Salary Cap restrictions and he stated that he wanted to stay but was unable to.

Vella if played properly is a good player but his to hot and cold I find.

We have recruited well and retained some good players. Watch Parra be a force in 2005.

Tonga for Vaeliki was not a hignsight thing. I said it at the time.

Hignsight in regards to Cayless is. As I said Vella was probably the better option then.

Ryan was borderline, but I don't think I was alone in saying Wagon's 2001 Dally M lock of the year was one off occurence. He is extremely over-rated.

Wagon was pretty damn good in 01' but has yet to reach the heights becuase he is unable to play his natural game.

i believe that if tonga had stayed he wouldnt be the player he is today, because of the players around him have made it a lot easier on him in defence and attack
sad but true #-o
