i only started going to presentations last year, only been to about 6 or 7 and the band have been sh*t like i mean really sh*t, i cant stand em, my friends say they been doing it for like 3 years, tragic

I think you'd find they get paid pretty well .
It is probably booked through an entertainment agency like" Southbeat" and would be classified as a corporate gig.
My band gets for example $500 for a gig we play in a local pub where there are hardly any punters . Its a bit of a shocker but I look at as being paid $125 to rehearse and have a beer . Other gigs we get %10 of the bar takings or there abouts and that can be around $800 for the night. Now we do this independently without agency backing . Agencies have a lot higher fee's for there bands so I'm thinking they would get maybe $1000.00 for the night split between them after the agency cut. I could be wrong but from experience playing on harbour cruises where we'd get paid about $1800.00 for a 4 hour cruise. With a day job its not a bad little extra earner..almost as profitable as selling drugs. So I'm told.

Yeah they are the lamest band in the world....THE ABSOLUTE LAMEST!!

It used to be cringe time at the S.U.S club but it seems the good ol' entertainment manager at the Sharks have entered the fray as hiring possably one of the worst acts I've have ever seen.
