I'd start Byrce. He isn't an impact player. He is a creative solid worker. When brought on with minimal minutes he is forced to attempt things when they are not on.

I'd prefer Matterson at Lock and N.Brown on the bench.

11 Bryce
12 Lane
13 Matto

14 Rein
15 N.Brown
16 Marata
17 Papali'i

I feel this works well. Stone for Rein maybe also.
Agreed, although I’d have Lane on the bench as well for either Paps or Niukore.

I could live with that... so long as Bryce is replaced by Brown after 20-30mins (when the other middle forwards rotate off as well), so we don't leak before and after half time. Then he can be kept as an option to bring on for later attacking impact (in any position) in the final 20mins if needed/behind by over 12 points.

Very interesting thread. Over the length of his tenure, BA has had a tendency to run players into the ground so that they are f#cked by the end of the year. I think last year BA was more flexible with his bench. We have a squad where there are probably 19 or 20 players who are all good enough to be in the top 17. I reckon we might find him resting players a bit throughout this year, and changing up his bench accordingly/ or to suit certain opposition, etc.
