Congratulations are in order again. You're good at big-noting yourself but you fail miserably to be able to have a proper debate or discussion.

Scared are you, Calixte? Where would you be without the laughing emotion to SLAM DOWN your point. Great strategy, haha.

But... but but but.... The vichy.... nazis... but but but.... umm... rugby union.... vichy....nazi....

I think I have expressed myself on this point endlessly here to be honest. Whether you have read them or not is immaterial frankly. I couldn't give a rats arse...

Anyone who doesn't know my detailed thoughts on the subject need only use the LU search function.

They will find them to be rational and typically well constructed arguments that have never been shown up by another poster here. If you doubt that, please produce the examples...

Yeah you come up with genius ideas such as:

Support for French Rugby League and contempt for French Rugby Union is the way to go.

Idiot.

If this sport had administrators who can look forwards, rather than backwards it could be huge. There are opportunities to work with RU to break into markets dominated by football (eg France).

When ever has Union wanted to work with League on anything?

I think the last time was in the 70's, when from memory a Trans Tasman test was curtain raiser for a Bledisloe at Eden Park in Auckland (may even have been at Carlaw)

In this country, League probably works best with soccer anyway. Union for 100 years has been a pathetic soup of blind hatred toward RL. It still is at the core of it's existance.

In this country, in NZ and in England there is a competition between the codes. I absolutely agree. That is because both are well-established.

However in markets such as France, USA etc. which are dominated by other sports and RU/RL are unestablished or weak, if the RU and RL governing bodies worked together to promote what is essentially a similar product, both will benefit.

Once they become established in those markets, then start holding each other in "contempt".

I'm not saying League administrators are exclusively the ones at fault for not taking on strategies like this. Union ones are just as much at fault.

You should ask questions that make sense then.

It is not my fault you have the intelligence of a plant.

No, in France, Union is mostly at fault.

The last Aus v France international in France is a case in points. The game attracted considerable attention, and the French RL wanted to book a large stadium to accommodate the mooted crowd. Instead, Union booked it, and did nothing with it.

Also recall the springboks coach blasting League's culture after Wendell got on the grog in South Africa once. Like, wtf is League to Yawnion in SA?

Union arrogance toward league. It's as ingrained in that code as fat, puffed forwards and turnstile designers working as defence coaches.

You will find that the French culture has a lot to do with some of those problems.

Disregarding what has happened, do you think that if RU and RL worked together in development programs, promotion, marketing etc. to tap into potential markets that RL will ultimately benefit greatly?

As you said earlier, I have the knowledge and as someone far more intelligent than you (Sir Francis Bacon) once said "Knowledge is power..."

Fakir's the best 2nd row in the world, or at least the best impact player in the world. Force = mass x acceleration. Fakir's a force.

As to the fool who suggested working with French RU to break football in France...you're delusional! FRU is the enemy, all RU is the enemy, not football.

Well said screeny.

I agree that Fakir is a definite threat to defences if he plays to his ability. He caused a wave of destruction in 2004 against "Australie".

The great man D. Lockyer is still wearing an imprint of Fakir's palm on his chest from the fend when Fakir scored his try.

Ali is spot on with this thread.

Support for French Rugby League and contempt for French Rugby Union is the way to go.

And for the uninitiated like Parra troll, the abusive treatment of French rugby league by French union did not cease in 1941...
your f**king kidding me... you idiots and your vichy rubbish really make me laugh...

its a f**king SPORT!! who gives a sh*t!! you have no idea what abusive treatment is...

you should go upto an aboriginal elder and tell them your vichy story of abuse... youd be laughed at...

you should go and tell your Vichy story to an uncle of mine that had his head bashed in by a cop because he was protesting the sale of his families land that was stolen by the govt and sold on to an overseas developer..

you need to get a f**king life.... anyone would think you were part of aparthied..

We're on a sports forum, and its one of the he tragedies/agendas in sport. We on a RL forum have every right to discuss and try to rectify the damages from the past. Those that are fighting this line of thought, are a) the clearly ignorant = drizzle, b) prefer RU = shiznit, or C) are typical insular RL fans = parra

So you see yourself as a crusader? Fighting a battle against people who were in power for a very short time 70 years ago, and are now dead. Do you get 72 virgins when you win?
