There has been talks that Garnett may be traded to Phoenix and Steve Nash heading to Minnesota next season.

There's also been talks that Phoenix want Garnett so much, that they have been in touch with Boston to help them out.

It appears they want Boston to trade 2 draft picks for Garnett, then Phoenix would trade Shawn Marion for Garnett.

Just as things were about to get interesting, KG up and went to China with his missus for their honeymoon

I read this in an article the other day, I'll try and find it again.

What I don't understand is if Amare is available, why wouldn't Sota just trade straight up for him? Ok, I understand he's only 2 years removed from his knee problem but he's just made All-NBA! And he's still young (not 25 until end of year).

I think it's win-win for both teams. The KG experience is unfortunately a failure for Minny so they get rid of his $20m contract and take back a player 6 years younger who could be more dominant (at least offensively) who's only on $12m over the next 5 years. Suns get the player that instantly makes them conference favourites.

BUT, as a Hawks fan, WHY ON EARTH WOULDN'T THOSE MUGS WHO RUN MY TEAM MAKE THIS TRADE?!?!?!?!

3rd pick - Al Horford. Might become half the player Amare is, but is smaller and wasn't the best player on his college team.
11th pick - Acie Law/Javaris Crittenton. Brilliant. So not only have we passed on Chris Paul, Deron Williams & Brandon Roy the past 2 drafts we'll take a player not fit to tie any of their laces this year and at the same time submarine a trade possibility that would have pushed us to the brink of Eastern Conference contender.

You can't tell me that those two combined are more valuable than Amare. A core trio of Amare/Joe Johnston/Josh Smith is an excellent start. Then you add Josh Childress, a solid player off the bench, Marvin Williams, who was injured a lot last year so stunted his development, Zaza Pachulia, a solid scoring centre (admittedly a terrible defender) and the Hawks have a solid YOUNG core. Then, we make a play for Chauncey in free agency. He's won a ring, Finals MVP, he's now going to be looking for his money. And he gets to lob alley-oops to Amare & Smith for the next 5 years and be the undisputed leader of the team. That team contends in the East. That's all I ask.

Of course I know the management of my team wouldn't be able to organise a root in a brothel at this point and it's killing me. I see a trade scenario like this reported and my hopes raise just a little. Then one of the bastards that own my team decide to play petty games against the others which only results in further damage to the supporter base (which I think consists of 3 chickens and a cow at this point. Oh, and me).

Then today I hear that we're possibly drafting Yi Jianlin. FFS, he hasn't even worked out for ANY team so how on Earth could the Hawks owners possibly think he'd be a better player than Horford or Conley (if we're keeping the picks), or a better fit for our team.
