It’s all about variety. It works fine when it’s executed at the right time.

When you run it time and again as your only backline move, then it’s pretty easy to defend.

With the signing of Hunt and then Graham and Dufty doing OK at fullback I was very confident of a big year..
I know the season has not started but I am not feeling so confident anymore.
Seems the backs are doing the same as last season and the wingers are still slow.
It appears McIdiot is going to play the power game once again.
I pray I am wrong but it seems nothing much will change, except Hunt and Graham

I think its pretty funny how after 2 trials neither of which were terrible the whole forum is posting nothing but negative stuff.
The trials probably showed me that we have a lot of work to do, mainly in defense, but we have some real potential. I think if we can just work on a bit of diversity in attack we will be a strong top 8 team. Hunt to kick more, Widdop to play more direct, get Mann in the backline somewhere and its game on.
We have to be much better but I think/hope we will have a good season.

We all hope we have a great year , I think its more frustration mate because Mary seems to do the same things all the time . As you have said he needs to fit Mann into the side some where , its been like that for the last 3 years with him . Thats why when we drop games and he continues without changes thats what frustrates me and others . Lets just hope again Mary has learnt , we can only hope .....

They went with block plays pretty much all game in the CS last year and then rolled out the power game in round 1.

Let's see if they roll out something fresh against the donkeys...

At least he seems to be toying with the idea of Lomax? He looked the goods in the CS although once he did get the ball with a little bit of room and showed he was no James Roberts.

Yep, while Lomax demonstrated a ton of potential, he also showed he's definitely not the quickest three-quarter going around. I noticed this last year in a game where he played fullback.

Some us will be disappointed.
