May I also say… the technology has improved a heap since the end of Mando season 2.

Edit- so it turns out they hired that YouTuber Shamook who does all the wicked deep fakes.

whatever they paid him was a bargain… if that’s the standard going forward the world is literally their oyster as far as where they can take the story…

The mando detour, while cool is taking me out of the series a bit because I want to see what's going on with the gang wars, I was digging that.

TBH… I was over Boba Fett’s story after 3 episodes…

the less I see of space maori and his band of power rangers the better IMO…

i honestly don’t care that it’s named after Boba Fett… the Mando story is just better.

I just hope it overall serves the story as at the moment, to me at least, it feels more like baiting and sentimentality serving.

If it all wraps into serving the overall story, I'm cool with it but at the moment, I just do t know how I feel about doing 2 whole episodes about Mando in bobbas story.

I didn't dislike either episode, just seemed a bit out of place to me.

From the start The Book of Boba Fett just felt like it was a story within Mando anyways imo, it is a weird way to produce a series but whatevs

I’m going to be in the minority but I felt the training scene was really cheesy

Apart from that it was a great episode, the series Finale should be fun.

They should have just called the show The Saga of Tatooine, then they could have included all these stories without making it completely weird.

I like Mando, and Deadwood/Justified, and Jedi training, but I thought I was watching a show called The Book of Boba Fett originally.

If this was a 10 episode show there would be no issues with the side tracking, but having 1 episode left, there seems like a lot of things to wrap up. Or nothing will be wrapped up and it will continue into season 2 (and probably not have a satisfying end to this season).
But, I have loved the last 2 eps.

I wish they would leave the cutesy "parallels to modern America" stuff out of it.

The "haha Mandolorian has been pulled up for speeding and the cops are asking for paperwork, just like happened to me once!" or "oh my kid does that that talking to strangers over the back of the chair thing on planes too!" or "there's a showdown in the street between the Marshall and the bad guy gunslinger, this is just like 9458 billion westerns I've seen!"

Totally destroys the immersion for me, this is a galaxy a long way away... a long time ago....I want it to be alien and different. It's better when it's alien and different.

Why must lowest common denominator smooth brains always be catered to with 90% of book to screen modern sci-fi?

There have just been some really odd choices.

Why did we need a fifteen minute training montage with Luke and Baby Yoda? All I can think of is that they had Mark Hamill agree to come back again and they thought 'well we can't pass this up' so they wrote the sequence in.

Likewise, the extended sequence where Mando has the Naboo starfighter in the workshop on Tatooine. Why did that need to be so long? It was just fanservice going 'remember this cool ship you liked? Watch this!'

It's a seven episode season, and the title character has featured in exactly one scene in episodes five and six. I don't really get what they're going for here.
