Look, I know we all say the Gold Coast is full of fickle, pea hearted fans more intent on surfin' and clubbin' than going to games to cheer on their team, however I think 2016 will see the true fickleness of Brisbane Broncos fans in all it's fickley glory.
You don't have to be a rocket surgeon to know that even when the Broncos lose 2 games in a row, home crowd numbers plummet, and they go from hitting 35k per game, to 2.5k per game.
As some have said, some Broncos fans may never recover from losing the GF, given they all hoped, no, expected a mighty win against the old foe N QLD.
Given the above, and given that Broncos fans are the most boring, inept, classless humans on the planet, I expect that crowd numbers will plummet, putting their deal in jeopardy with Suncorp Stadium and relegating them back to Ballymore or even as curtain raisers to Titans games on the Gold Coast.
This will have serious repercussions for the NRL. I suspect this has been the hope/intentions all along. People crying out for a second team to help dilute the Broncos, but the NRL instead plan to destroy the Broncos from the inside to insert their own team there!
