Okay, if we are going to tidy this shit up, lets get the broom into action.

Remember, we are practically at the cap roof, so when selecting new players, consider their values. Also, you must keep those who have been re-signed this year only.

What should we do with the side to make it better?

1 - Tedesco
*2 - Jacob Gagan
3 - Chee Kam
*4 - Kerrod Holland
5 - Simona
6 - Moses
7 - Brooks
8 - Woods
9 - Cherrington
10 - Seumanufagai
11 - Aloiai
12 - Lawrence
13 - Taylor

14 - Felise
15 - Grant
16 - Sironen
17 - Sue
18 - Lovett
19 - Edwards
20 - Hunt
*21 - Bevan French
*22 - Paul Vaughan
*23 - Daniel Saifiti
*24 - Jacob Saifiti
*25 - Damian Cook

I've gone for a lot of young players, especially forwards with some size. Vaughan and Holland would probably be most expensive. Gagan would be cheap and is a very decent winger.

Nofoaluma, Naiqama, Rankin just aren't up to standard and are a defensive liability.
Farah and Ballin have to go

This should clean up our cap, give us a decent starting side and good depth up front where we sadly have been lacking for ages.

And Jason Taylor, David Kidwell both need to go.

No more hiring assistant coaches as head coach. No more persevering with defence coaches who do not improve our defence.

Thoughts and/or what would you do with the side if you could do a clean out (using the above parameters)

Spread a rumour that Sirro is going to 5/8 instead of Moses. Uncle Benny will hopefully get one of his mates to do a Tonya Harding on him. Cap space increased.

Our team won't be much different to this year.
The only players off contract end of the year out of our top 25 are
Cherrington, Halatau, Hunt, Milone, Sauaso Sue, Elijah Taylor

And the club needs to spend decent chunk of cap to resign Sue and ET.

Segeyaro (if farah and cherrington leave) and one of the raiders props (they got too many) would be a welcome addition at a reasonable price

Not too much off contract for wing/centre.. Don;t think Jorge Taufua has resigned. I rate him.

Just in general, starting Sirro at 6 and bringing Moses off the bench isn't such a bad idea. It would stop Moses overcalling Brooks in the middle of the match and stunting our attack and would also allow Farah to do some ball playing, even if it's just dribbling the ball into the in goal for repeat sets.

I'd love to see Kerrod Holland in our backline. Solves our goal kicking woes and gives a first grade centre, something which neither Naiqama or Nofo are. Gagan would be an astute buy too. He's stuck behind Holmes and Feki and while the Sharkies are blessed with depth, we aren't and given how JAC is moving on he'd walk into our starting line up. Wouldn't mind seeing Dean Whare in our backline too.

If we're getting rid of both Farah and Ballin, we probably do need more depth at hooker. Cook would be nice, but Liddle should be good enough for second string. Moseley could be another option.

I still want some forwards willing to put the hurt on people. Someone in the mold of JWH, Fifita, Greg Bird, Beau Scott... no one really springing to mind at the moment. Joel Thompson maybe?

What goal kicking woes?

Moses kicked two from the sidelines last week... Another JT master stroke to justify picking Rankin...

Also Holland is a shyte goal kicker, but admittedly an upgrade on some of our outside backs...

Would love Segyaro in the team if both Robbie and Ballin move on.

The Saifiti boys are quite strong runners. A decent coach around them would ensure they stay that way.

I don't know what has happened to Nofo's form of late but he is much better than he is playing atm. One problem is that he is being left high and dry by Kev rushing in and not making his tackles. When the guy on the inside makes bad defensive reads it makes it really hard on the guys outside him. I think Nofo's defence would improve markedly with a centre that communicates more. I would nearly consider Rankin there this season if JT wouldn't give MCK a go. I would keep one of Kev or Nofo and think that Nofo has more improvement in him. Rankin is surplus to requirements other than as a depth player.

I like the idea of Simona moving to wing as it would give him more space and strangely enough he would see the ball more from kick returns. The problem is that it weakens us in a position where we are already weak to cover a position which IMO is easier to fill.

I also can't see Farah moving on at the end of this year as he still wants to win an Origin series and he is really committed to the Blues. If they manage to somehow win this year then he might bow out, but otherwise I think he will be with us until the end of 2017. In either case, Cherrington needs to be on the bench to get some more 1st grade experience as well as being able to add some spark to the attack late in the halves. If Cherrington is already gone then we need to start blooding Liddle or be looking for a replacement who is in a similar place.

I 100% agree that the coaches need to go. I think that Folkes would be a really good fit as head coach at the Tigers. He is straight forward, no-nonsense and a premiership winning coach. He would have the respect of the players and be able drill some mongrel into the team. Getting their fitness up might also stop us leaking points before half time.

Overall I think our squad is actually pretty strong now missing only a few key positions. We ideally need a winger and a centre, a goal kicker, and maybe another prop/second rower. Sue and ET have to be retained as they have been our standout forwards this season (with Lawrence who is already signed).

Segeyaro, Holland and Vaughan would all be good buys for us. So would D. Saifiti but I can't see the Knights letting him go.

SST was kicking them like el Masri last week and is a strong runner of the football - how long is he signed up for?

Canberra definitely have a surplus of forwards at the moment, I'd love to see any number of them at the Tigers - knowing us though we'll probably end up with duds like Fensom of FPN.

We really do have to get rid of the dead wood,if a player has more negative aspects to their game then positives then they have to go...Siro,Kev,Rankin,Halatau,milone gone.
Both Tautau Moga and Denny Solomona would be handy in our backline.

What happened to the Denny Solomona rumour? Guy can play, more of a winger though, really want to sign a first grade standard center. I like the dean whare call earlier, I reckon penrith would let him go, kid could probably do with a fresh start too.

If Leeds get relegated, they could have a host of players wanting to abandon ship.

Same goes for Huddersfield.

Top 4 teams for many years. One season with a crippling injury toll and relegation awaits.

I'm so over all this. I feel like we have been "re-building" for years. We always seem to have talent here and there but never all at once. I don't even care about winning or losing, I just want us to have a decent crack.

You can bet your ass that ET will not be staying with us long. Tigers has become a nursery for players once on the outer who need to get a bunch of games under their belt to get picked up by a good club.

Over it. f**king over it

We will be close to the bottom of the pile again next year if we do not find at least one quality centre and a quality backrower. Also a good winger would be handy but the club seem to think we are okay for wingers

Gagan would be a good one too MU. He was very good in that young sharks team in 2014, IIRC he got a serious injury at the start of last year and hasn't been able to force his way back into a strong sharks back line. Very strong carries and safe under the high ball. Would walk into our left wing.

Yeah. I was speaking with a member of the coaching staff at the Sharks last year and they said initially it was looking like he'd go to the wing, Holmes at fullback and Barba on the bench. But Barba trained the house down and earnt first crack at fullback, and well we can see how that's panned out.

Bird has pushed Leutele onto the bench. So Leutele could be worth a look too. Holds himself defensively. Needs work on running good lines though. Runs hard but on bad lines.

Gagan though is very safe defensively and a good finisher

I've liked Nathan Davis from the GC. Very big body and seems a natural center. Didn't realize he was off contract. With hurrell and sarginson there next year along with mead, McDonald, olive, don etc they might not hold onto him.

Signing him and Gagan would be very good, smart recruitment IMO
