The Buderus rumour

I have heard a rumour that Danny Buderus will be coming to Parra in 2008 before going to England in 2009.

The rumour is strong, most people have already heard it. But I have heard it from a few different people. I think it was on the filthy_spammers website a few weeks back, but the rumour has definitely gained momentum. I would just like to share and discuss it here.

I reckon Weidler may cover it by weeks end. :lol:

On a serious note, I believe we could win the comp with Buderus at 9. He would be our greatest signing since Tahu.

don't know how effective he would be sharing the role with Piggy like PJ did. he seems more of an 80 minute player.

if this was somehow to come to fruition i would imagine it would be the end of Brian at the Knights...the Knighst fans would be in uproar.

I think we'd go damn close to winning the comp with buderus.

Hypothetically speaking

Piggy cant play 80. He'd be devastating off the bench as a wide running back rower or slotting in at dummy half after buderus has made a run. They'd be a lethal combination.

I also think having buderus in the side would take a hell of a lot of pressure of Tim Smith - and he'd also kill it.

And the kids? Well, there just that, kids. One year training with and playing with one of the best hookers of the last 30 years would only be a positive IMO.

I'd dont think it would happen, but i sure wouldnt knock it back.

I'd take him for a year for sure.
Buderus is definitely not past it, not for the NRL anyway.

He had a f**king tough year this year and had to shoulder a mountain of responsibility, all the while with injuries.
He is still a class act.

As good as Buderus is I would love to see the money spent on keeping the like of Hayne or Inu etc. I get sick and tired of watching the game and seeing the young players we produce go on and destroy us as they have been lost to the club because we cannot afford them. Danny can come over but on at the expense on our young stars, after all they will be around alot longer and hopefully wearing the colours of our BLUE AND GOLD.

I am pretty sure that we never let players go because we could not afford them. It was more the choices that Brian Smith made. Usually the wrong choice. Like Vaealiki over Tonga, Vella over J. Cayless, Wagon over Andrew Ryan etc.

I've heard rumors on 2 fronts.

1] The Bederus rumours is as fresh as 5 minute old paint job and as I'm not expecting anything to come of it, i would imagine that if it did happen PJ's money will come in handy in that area but this will effect rumour number 2.

2] I hear That both Krisnan and Hayne's contract will be topped up with PJ's money providing they extend the deal with us, we're the only club that can do this and I guess that may give us the upper hand against souths and the Roosters.

If Bederus comes..than i can't see us offering the sweetner to our 2 young guns. therefore Parra R 4 Me could be sspot on the money.
