The career points record

With South Sydney born and bred superstar Adam Reynolds dominating with no end in sight to his career it is now looking very likely like he will break Cam Smith's record.

I wish the NRL put more marketing into record breaking. In the NBA it was massive news as Lebron James was closing in on the all time record. Whenever a major record looks like going it should be hyped up by the NRL every week. There should be countdowns. The footy media should be all over it. That is how we sell the game.

And how good will it be for a perfect role model and citizen like Reynolds to break and hold the record for many years. He is universally beloved by the entire rugby league world. Has never put a foot wrong off the field. All class on the field. Good family man. Loyal club man (he should have been a 300 game icon for us and us alone and sadly we made that mistake). The kind of bloke you would want to be mates with, the kind of bloke you would want your sister to marry.

Also despite parting ways he bleeds red and green and he will always be remembered as a Rabbitoh. It says a lot about our club that the soon to be points record holder and also the soon to be try record holder, who are both great citizens off the field, were nurtured by our club. We build great talents and more importantly: great men.

Almost back to top form, but it's still missing something Constable.

Anyway you should be over A-Rey, you've got the superstar he was cut for in Ilias....wait

Without him Penrith don't go four in a row

He did f**k all in the 2021 GF and actively threw (well kicked) away the 2023 GF.

The broncos one was so much worse. That south’s team did amazingly well to even be in the contest. That Broncos team had the game in the bag and had one of the biggest throws in the history of this sport.

I think we should play the ball and not the man, Bunnies has a point (until the latter paragraphs)

Alex Johnston (uhoh, Bunnies player too) should be feted significantly if he breaks the Ken Irvine record. I'd like to see hype around that, it is an incredible record approaching. But I don't sense it's coming, at least from the NRL's sense.

Having said all that, the carry-on when LeBron broke the points scoring record, the way the game completely stopped, I felt was pretty lame. There were speeches mid-third quarter! Became way too much about him. Luckily our game wouldn't do that and would keep it outside the parameters of the actual 80 minutes.
