Obviously ironed out some kinks.
A few blokes had their best games for a while.

Great to see Gal back. Missed the old bastard.

Our opening defensive set was the stuff of 2016. All we needed to do was back it up with a good set of 6 and blow them off them park.
Up steps duges. Mindblowing that merkin. Definately not right in the head.

We used to love clawing back from behind. That was our strength. So we take a lot of belief from that. Saw a lot of good stuff tonite that we have missed and that was one of them.
Prior returned. His hitup before the last try was his hardest for 2 years.

Bomber has the chance to send us 2 steps back this week if he plays musical chairs with the backline.

Feki and ronaldo are wingers. Leave them and dont put centres there. Just weakens the position.

Moylan is 1.
Xerri is left.
Duges is a centre - has never been a fullback - so bomber makes a call between him and josh. Duges for mine. So josh plays for newtown. This is where bomber either sends a message to everyone to stand up and fight for your spot or he bends over to keep the big names all happy and ends up f**king it up.

Wade back. Feefs back.
Attitude returning.
Kicking at 66%.

To lose 4 games by 2 points and then win one by 2.
Has our luck changed.

Wade likely back next week.

And Ronaldo is a centre. Solid enough though. He can stay. Dugan right wing when Moylan returns.

Problem is we have too many centres
Xerri
Mulitalo
Ferris who is back from injury for jets, if we can convert one of them into a fullback

Here's a chat. We just beat an injured Cowboys team that is playing ordinary. We still have a great deal of shit within the team. On field arguments, hero plays that never come off, terrible ball handling, disjointed defensive sets leading to us running backwards fast.. Bomber doesn't know how to deal with all the idiots he's inherited. Whats Dugan doing? Is he off his meds or something, feigning injuries twice, his post game interview with FF was awkward in the extreme. He's not the only issue of course but adds to the detriment of a team playing for each other, like we did in 2016 for instance.

We are pus.

Our seasons like a pill at a festival.
Its ether strap yourself in or doesn't end well.

We have most if not all playing like busteds and yet...got beat by friggin goalkick in canberra where completions were 20%.
Scored 3 tries to 2.

Williams runs 90 metres in the last minute against the dogs and pulled down a metre short.

Theres 4 points. Throw in another couple of games where goalkicking beat us again and we scored more tries.

Don't forget playing a full strength storm. In melbourne. And ref bias in the cam 400 circus and yet we still hit the front with 20 to go bar a 50/50 call for a forward pass.

Thats 5 losses.
4 losses by only 2 points.
By a team playing absolutely stone motherferkin shite.

Other teams running up a run of consecutive losses during the year - like knights pennies parra drags were or are getting towelled by big scores.

My point is we dont need to tweak too much to get back on track if we are putting in for 20 minutes a game and just falling short on by 2 points.

Saw stuff last week in NZ and more last night to see it's turning.

At home, all to play for, season on the line, against seriously depleted opponents... and still barely managed to sneak the win.

But a win’s a win, definitely some positives, including 2 much needed points and at least they stopped the slide.

Miles off the pace, but we could still realistically progress to Wk 2 of the finals. Stranger things have been known to happen.

Transplant Francis’ commitment and drive into Xerri and then the weally, weally fast merkin can stay.

Morris and Dugan are far and away the best 2 centres at the club and that includes when they stuff up. Xerri just doesn’t bring enough other than the odd burst of speed.

If Moylan could string some games together then the coach might be able to find a consistent backline.

Morris is the best left centre
Dugan is the best right centre
Feki is a left winger. Play him or Xerri there.
Ronaldo is right side player. Play him right wing.

Ronaldo has a right arm carry so will finish better on the right. He got easily handled by Drinkwater as he had no fend due to right arm carry. Feki finishes better on left for the same reason.

The chopping and changing is hurting cohesion. Some caused by injury, some by choice. Coach needs to find consistency in selection.
