The usual reviewers I trust are all unanimous in their opinions - the movie on the whole is sloppy and a mess, however Affleck has nailed Batman apparently.
Some went as far to say he may end up considered as the best on screen Batman so far, which I'm finding a little hard to believe.
Word is that there is a major screw around with the mythos of one of the main characters, and if true, Snyder's friends (if he has any) had better start preparing their eulogies, because DC fans will lynch him.
I just watched it and I loved it. It pays great tribute to the Dark Knight Returns comics. There are great scenes and I loved the story. Especially the story leading up to Batman and Superman fighting.
It was epic. Builds nicely from MOS and goes from there
Affleck nails it. The best Batman yet.
Gadot is perfect as WW.
Eisenberg will polarise opinion. His Luthor is a very modern take and I think it was perfect, but understand if it wasn't to everyone's taste
Superman didn't get much character development but that's not surprising given most of that was done in MOS and more energy needed to be given to batman
Overall it was a good setup into the future films to come.
The cameos of Aquaman, Flash and Cyborg were brief but significant. Those who though there would be too many characters, turning the film into a mess were very wrong.
The tone of the film might be too dark for some, especially if you are llooking for the humour that Marvel lace their films with (too much at times imo) but it fits
DC needed to make this film as they were behind the 8 ball with their cinematic universe. I dare say that if it came out 6 years ago we'd have a very different film. It's not perfect, movies rarely are, but it's far from the crap a lot of reviews are unfairly painting it to be
