The comic/graphic novel/manga thread - what are you reading?

TSIA - what are you reading and anticipating? (I don't know where to put this thread since there is no literature forum so here will do I guess.)

I started reading Knightfall again in anticipation of TDKR and some of the DC New 52 Catwoman and Batman Detective Comics.

Has anyone read Watchmen and Hack/Slash and can give info if they're worth a shot?

Watchmen is well worth the read, one of the first graphic novels I ever read.

At the moment Garth Ennis is my favourite writer, Preacher is amazing, so is The Boys, but pretty much anything he's touched in the last fifteen years has been gold.

Transmetropolitan by Warren Ellis (or pretty much anything else he's written) is also brilliant.

Not really a huge fan of superhero comics, I'm more about interesting concepts and good storytelling.

Preacher is one of my favourite of all time series along with Sin City. Amazing read.

Did you read 100 bullets? I've got issue one and it is pretty boring tbh but I keep hearing how great it is so I'm undecided of continuing on.

Just read Sin City, the Marv/Goldie one (Hard Goodbye?)

Also read the first 6 issues of the Walking Dead and thought it was great.

Watchmen was excellent. Been looking for Preacher for a while but can never find the first volume.

If you live in Sydney then Kinokuniya at Town Hall is the only place you need to go

Looks like Watchmen is a go!

Btw anyone have a ridiculous collection they want to show off?

The Dark Knight Returns, Kingdom Come and Identity Crisis are all great if you're into superheroes

Powers is great too, the whole superhero subject from a different point of view

Neil Gaiman's Sandman is awesome.

Yep! Amazing!!!

I used to read 100 bullets on occasion, it's okay, not amazing though.

Y the Last Man was pretty good.

I love comics that have a five year monthly run and actually have a complete story line.

The David Lapham books - Stray Bullets and Murder Me Dead were both great too.
