Being the Alpha of a pack is very much a mindset. But you need the physicality to back it up. You need some merkin in you, for lack of a better term.

The Couchmen, Egan, Loko, Halangahu and Stewart seem like really nice young men. But I think they lack the arrogance to be the top dogs. They may develop a mean streak, but not at the moment.
If we can't land a marquee prop, then Leilua will have to train all off-season long to fill the gap. He is big and tough but boy is he unfit and lazy. So, he will need to work on this all off-season.

The Saints are building a great forward pack. They are showing faith in these young fellas and from what I have seen will cut it in the NRL and compete with the other alpha props. Lets hope they repay the Dragons with their faith in them that they showed that when they make it big, they stay loyal. By Saints not blocking their path that may be the plan and to be honest I am pretty confident these boys will make a formidable pack. The issue is the halves. No use having and awesome pack with no points being generated from the halves or the backs breaking a line every now and then.

I've been saying for a long time now, we don't need an average first-grad, prop, we need a top of the line marquee prop to lead our talantedd young forward pack. So throw a record offer to Tino or Hass before they are picked up by another club.

The young forward and the team in general are on salaries that keep the squad well within the bounds of hte salary cap. So, instead of having up to 5 marquee players, let's settle for one super marquee prop.

Fletcher, younger brother plays as a #7
hes one of the ones im keen to see play, so many younger brothers and sisters in our lower grades.. Fletcher from what I saw in some highlights looks very big for a 7.. but what better base could there be for any number of positions he could move too from there...

In the not so distant future, we may see a Reed/Flethcher hallves combo.
