the daftpunk's discovery/interstella 5555 appreciaton thread

i liked daft punk when tehy came out wiht homework in 1997, the music was repetitve adn evrry crude, but with songs like around the world, it had redeeming qualities, a good album nothign spectacular. Discovery, howvever teir 2001 album is phenomenal, byitself it is a complete album, but when done in combination wiht the musical anime INTERSTELLA 5555: the story of the secret star system, to date ive seen this movie about 100 times, each time you notice something new, theres no dialogue, just the album as its score, each song setting the tone and complimenting the story. Like the Chemical brothers' star guitar video, alot of things are in time with the music and really subtly done. Its a masterpiece. I dont know what else to say, except get baked and watch it, helps if you are a fan of daft punk, or at least are open to electronic music

They showed the entire series on Channel V a few months ago, unfortunately I missed the last few songs/episodes when I had to go to work. It's brilliantly done.

I'm a huge fan of Daft Punk, and I have been tempted to buy that DVD when I've seen it. It seems a bit space cadet-y for my taste though. However, your recommendation is rather glowing and compelling.
