The biggest fall from grace ever, was how much the second album sucked long hard dick in an inverse proportion to how much the first one ruled.

I agree, the second wasn't as good as their debut, although I tend to look at it (and The Darkness in general) in the following two ways :

They are predominantly influenced by Thin Lizzy and Queen. The first album has a more Thin Lizzy sound; raw guitar, and twin guitar solo's and melodies. Whereas the second has bigger choruses, less hard guitar and more of a "pop" sound, more "Queen-esque" in a way.

Justin still hasn't lost it, Hot Leg's album is brilliant.
