Today.
Today.
They don't need to give up SoO. I doubt Fifita will be considered any way.If that’s the case Tonga will take a big step backwards unless players are going to give up playing origin.

Who would they lose short term?Well if we’re going to consider then a tier 1 nation (tier 2 collapsing) then they do.
Keep them tier 2 thenI’m not talking short term, the fact is most of there players are Australians/Kiwis and origin would come in to play for their selections if they were a tier one nation.
Keep them tier 2 then
Absolutely cannot happen. Suuuuuurely there is movement behind the scenes to do something.Sadly next year Tonga will go back to their test a year mode until the next RLWC
Exactly right. Invite the Aussies along but if they don't want to play then fine just get on without them.Even more important that France stays on the up with Toulouse entering ESL and more players joining other ESL clubs like the Kiwis and Pacific Islanders do here. Europe needs a 2nd Tier 1 nation..
Why clamour over Australian Tests when you have NZ, England, France, Tonga, Fiji and PNG being able to play Tests with each other on a regular basis..
4 Nations next year?Absolutely cannot happen. Suuuuuurely there is movement behind the scenes to do something.

Australia are taking a year off.
