well. in the local picking comp at my squash club there is high drama at stake and the mere matter of $1000. i'm currently running 2nd (out of 51), 10 points off the lead (5 points for picking the winner, 3 more if you get the correct margin), with two rounds or 26 games to go. the person who is leading is called, wait for it, Gary.
it really is the show down of a life time. $1000 dollars and but more importantly pride and mana is at stake. if i lose it'll be a victory for garys everywhere. but if i win, it'll prove my champion status (which wont really be at risk anyway, but it would just emphasise it).
if i was up against robster or madunit, i'd win fo sho, but this is no ordinary gary. he's been in front for over a month, proving that maybe garys have got guts. but the question is will he have them come in two weeks time, the time of the final round who knows.
what i do know is that it could be the defining battle of the century. its all on fo sho.
stay tuned... ~ http://www.westauckland.co.nz
