I can remember standing on the hill about 5-7 years ago shaking my head after a bloke stood in our ingoal and an opposition player WALKED up behind , put his hands between his legs and scored a try.

This is after many months/years of dropped balls, turnstile tackles(their still there) and very foolish options.

His name was David Peachey.

Simmo is certainly under the pump from a few isn't he

It was early '98 I believe.

However, prior to that we had seen him rip teams to shreds in '97 and '96 and being hailed as "the player of the tournament" in the '95 pre-season, prior to bearking his leg and sitting out most of the year.

Simmo has yet to show anything close to that sort of ability.

Simmo's consistent place in the first team just baffles me! I mean if every other back in the country was dead then he'd be a possible choice for Stuey but there are two or three players with Newtown who can play a zillion times as well! :evil:

As for worst wingers/centres does anyone remember a short lived stint on the Sharkies flank by former Mariner man Nick Zisti? He also sucked!
