As for Hopkins, I understand he was on around 150k?? Not entirely sure, but it was a hell of alot more than 80k

Whoever signed him for that much needs to be shot ;-)

He was worth every cent and more.

What in the 20 1st grade games he played for you, 18 been from the bench.

Idiot  He started more games than he played off the bench, and was one of very few forwards over the past two years who gave his all and never quit. Worth twice what alot of other high profile flashy forwards in the comp are.

Were that true...then SURELY he's still be at your club!?? :?

Instead of buggering off to...er - actually...no-one was watching - So pray tell - where the hell did he go?? ENGLAND was it?...rather than play for parra in the NRL??....Yes, and THAt reflects well on your club, doesn't it!??

Thanx Eelsta!!

Dog-E you are a twat. I pointed out that most of our players left of their own accord, for good reason. I am not a fan of Smith, but I can't deny he has recruited very well this season , and to do that he had to make room. We managed to keep most of our top players, with Witt and Hopkins being the only really disappointing losses. But for quality like Morrison, Tahu(altho he needs to work hard on his defence IMO), Marsh, Riddell, Robinson....as well as Stringer, Perenara(who the Kiwis have been touting as their next best thing), a bunch of juniors including Daniel Backo, and maybe Kiwi half Thomas Leuluai, some sacrifices have to made. It's a sad fact of life

BAHAHAHA...use your eyes before shooting your mouth off.

As I said, he was informed he would be behind Morrison, Hindmarsh, Wagon, Afamasaga, and Widders at the very least for a first grade spot. He decided to leave, which is fair enough IMO.

Spent, what - half a season in 1st grade whilst we rebuilt (SUCCESSULLY you will note!)...then got the boot as his meandering & complicated private life & problems came to the fore again!

And coming off the bench when he was around, you may have noticed...honing his craft...was one B.Sherwin - PREMIERSHIP WINNING halfback!!! :D

Wasnt QUITE ready to take control back then...but sure as hell is NOW!!....SEE what happens when you don't GIVE UP on players after a yearor 2??

Well, there are quite a few teams over the past two years or so who'll testify to how dangerous Widders is coming off the bench late in the half, with his step and turn of pace

Try again

I'm supporting his DECISIONS as far as next season goes. How the hell do you what I think outside what I typed in that post? I have said elsewhere that I give him ten rounds to perform next season or he should go. If he can't get us back into contention with the squad he has next year, he never will.

Yes Widders was EVERYWHERE in that first half in round 1, when we ran 36 unanswered points past your sorry, overpaid, lackadaaisical, couldnt-care-less about the jersey im wearing team, wasn'yt he?!...U could SEE Sonny Bill quaking in his boots as he made break after break..."Oh no!...Where's WIDDERS!??..He's gonna gome on in a minute and CUT ME DOWN!!"

TRY AGAIN indeed!! ;-)

Sorry am i getting this correctly, a parra fan trying to argue with a dogs fan. Parra have absouletly nothing over the dogs. Your club is a joke, and needs to pick up there act. On and off the field.

Newcastle, Cowboys, Brisbane, Roosters, Raiders...all top 8 sides when Widders cut them up. Maybe your team hasn't been on the end of it, but I hope you eat those words next season mate!! Widders is in the top 10 for players I'd want coming off the bench, he's shown why more often than you care to realise, and if you actually had a look at some games outside of Canterbury's you'd see that. Twat
