I'll go for the Doors, a bit more to my tastes and a more infuential act over all. I'm not really a fan of either but.

I have CDs by both, but I'm gonna opt for INXS.

Simply because they were Australian and I grew up at the same time as they got increasingly popular and better. INXS were a soundtrack for my youth I guess, compared to the Doors just being groovy old stuff that you could get into at any age?

I normally support Aussie bands, but I never got off on INXS, too pop for me.

On the other hand, Jimmy Morrison was a legend.

In a time when bands were either putting out trashy Beatles rip-off stuff, or singing about flowers in the name 'psychedelia', The Doors stood proud and individual. Singing about killing, f**king, raping, drinking in excess, swearing - they set the standard for years to come. Any band who understands that its ok to sing about whatever they damned well want to owes allegiance to the Doors.
